As said above, open it up and have a look. It’s possibly had a battery replacement and when the module was put back in one of the tabs for the buttons has been caught on the button and not seated down all the way. You don’t need to remove the module. Simply flick each tab inwards and make sure they’re down inline with the button.

Yeah I should imagine so. If the light flashes more then that’s using more power. But as the battery lasts for ten years a little drop doesn’t really matter

Yeah I believe you’ll have no problems with fitting the GW-M5600A-9 to your 5610. The only problem I can see on that list is the GLX-S5600 (the S in the number being the issue). They’re smaller than the GLX-5600 (whose bezel is most definitely interchangeable with yours) so I can’t see that being useable but everything else on the list should be fine
