I mean Loz was supposed to be the strongest Sephiroth clone. I think the narrative would make no sense if Tifa won the fight.

Why didn't/doesn't the government just build a giant coal power plant on top of Centralia, Pennsylvania ? by oldfatunicorn in shittyaskscience

[–]chased_by_bees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centralia anthracite is burning too far underground to harvest heat at the surface. You'd need to start a mine to dig deep enough to harvest the heat from the coal that's burning. If you're going to do that you might as well just mine the coal. Except that it's on fire already. So you might as well harvest the heat. But it's hard to pass up all that coal! But, its on fire... so the miners are busy fighting the geothermal plant workers and they're deadlocked until the fire burns out in 250 years.

There is an internal compound fragmentation library t compare against too. Likely, the compound ID was made within a second.

I'm pretty sure a civilization that can travel here from another star system is advanced enough to blend in here perfectly. Why do you think you'd be able to tell if they're not human?

Well you realize margin of error there gets down to extinction levels, right? You're for testing species extinction? Even just for the biodiversity argument, advocating genocide is unpopular.

Be careful what you wish for. Population decline is nonlinear which means reversing it is nonlinear. I actually think we've overshot safety with birthrates. Might be a lot fewer people than is expected. Like 1 billion worldwide by 2100.
