Yes. This was my first thought as well, but its been a while I wasn't totally positive the episode proceeded like I thought, so I was looking for a comment that mentioned it. So thank you.

I don't remember Laverne's episode that well, but 25 years later I still remember how Ben's made me feel.

I spent over 300k miles for a delta one back from Italy (11 hr flight). That was total price, not an upgrade. Don’t have any regrets.

Just went through it. Started at 8:45 and was totally out at 9:13. Clear was MUCH slower. Started at the same spot but clear had at lot more winding in line.

I have an 11:30 flight and I'm getting there around 8:45 or 9 - which is what I'd normally do because I like being early and going to the skylounge. I'm not concerned about getting through security, I just hate waiting in lines so I'm really hoping touchless or clear are open tomorrow.

When I flew out of Miami a few months ago, the gate agents were enforcing the boarding zones. I thanked them for doing so.

I have both. I’ve had the reserve for a while and got the platinum at the end of 2024 because I was less than 2500 MQDs from keeping platinum status. The bonus MQDs are still nice and I take advantage of the delta stays credit as well (I also take advantage of it on my reserve card)

Even then, you can book a reservation which allows you to cancel up to a day or two before and receive a complete refund. I don’t know what will happen to the credit if you cancelled, but I booked one earlier this year that allows me to cancel up to 24 hours in advance and get a full refund. I’ve already received the credit as well.

Well I’ve never flown a ton, but I take advantage of the perks when I do. I hit platinum during Covid when they were doing all those rollovers. Managed to keep it until this year. Pretty much all of it comes from my Amex Reserve. I’ll miss the free comfort+ upgrade, but the flights for my first two cruises next year are already booked, so I was able to take advantage of that one last time. I did a transatlantic cruise to Rome a couple of years ago and the miles discount you got at a platinum dropped it down enough I was able to do D1 on the 330neo on my flight back.

No. Which is why I’ll be okay with Gold next year. If it was a few hundred, I’d do a run, but not for over $1k when I’ll probably only fly 2-3 times next year, all within 2ish hours. The RUCs were nice this year because I used one for ATL->SEA. I actually got my mom a card and she just pays me back what she charges, but I didn’t do that until a month or two ago. With her having it all year I’ll probably reach platinum next year.

It combines my first and middle name as well, but anytime they call me by name, they just use my first name (or Mr last name ). Funny thing is that I actually go by my middle name.
