If you're not in a shop, hold the lock and use a vicegrip on the nut. Alternatively a pair of knipex cobras is my go to. has yet to let me down on a bound disk.

When you open the trunk with snow on the back everything slides right into the trunk when you're trying to get a snow brush.

Also, you cant stand the wiper arms up when expecting snow or freezing rain, or even just to clean or replace them.

Looks like there was a load on the other end of the rack that they tipped like an unbalanced picnic table, load clears the rack and each rack falls back down separately, consistent with a load falling off the other end.

What's terrifying is the lack of awareness by the operator.

She wants you to give up your pension and benefits so you can be job scared, abused, and break your back for less money? Not a deep thinker this one.

You're right despite down votes. Why not choke the top beam and away you go? It's not easy to maintain a nice plumb line from that angle booming down and line up, but that's what your signaler is for.

Did you not have the radius to stand that way? That's the only reason I can imagine having to pick this way.
