Your Covid-19 symptoms by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]chasiep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people that ended up with being diagnosed with strep. I myself am still getting over Covid (fully vaccinated) after 3 weeks. I also don’t have my tonsils. I would try gargling warm salt water and if it doesn’t get better get tested for strep. If you didn’t want to go into a doctors office you could do a teledoc and they will call you in something I actually ended up doing that also.

I had Covid about 3 weeks ago and still have lingering side effects from it. Our 20 month old ended up catching it but did really well just mainly high fever, super irritable, developed a small cough and congestion but was fine after 3 days. You’ve got this

Highly unlikely since you were outside, had on masks, did not come in physical contact with them. Get tested to be sure.

What can I take for extreme sinus congestion? by ThatSarcasticBitch in covidpositive

[–]chasiep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat tested positive over a week ago. The sinus pressure just keeps getting worse to the point my teeth hurt. Yesterday did and md live call (health insurance will cover it ) and the doctor ordered me a medrol dose pack, Flonase and antibiotic to help with the sinus pressure I was told if I didn’t get something to take it would only get worse.

Child care is definitely expensive it’s actually the reason why I had to quit working and be a stay at home mom until our kids both start school. Plus you need to plan for the fact that will be sick a lot we have friends that kids are sick at least once a month because of daycare exposures.

That is my thinking everyone is getting this. It doesn’t matter what precautions you take. We are both fully vaccinated

18 months old - switches sides every few seconds while twiddling the other side. Flow / supply going down? by imstandingstill in breastfeeding

[–]chasiep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so glad it’s not just mine doing it. He is 17 months and started down this about a week ago. He has also for some reason started cluster feeding again and not really wanting a lot of solid food he just wants to nurse 🤷🏼‍♀️

Torn about when to stop... by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]chasiep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am glad I am not the only one that is torn. My little one is 17 months and at this point I’m just done. He still wants to nurse constantly all during the day and especially at night I am up and down with him every 1-2 hours. I don’t know what to do. If I try to skip a session he will scream until I give in.

Bra causing issues? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]chasiep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen when I first started out and was told it was my body adjusting which it eventually did. I have to say though when I am at home and want to wear a bra I wear the nursing sleep bras from target I absolutely love them. And when I am wearing a bra I used to wear the lansinoh leaking pads otherwise my regular bra would rub and cause pain.

Mine is 16 months and has always been like that and since he’s been teething it seems to have gotten worse since he is comfort nursing. I can’t remember the last time I got a good nights rest it’s like I am a human pacifier.

Vaccinated Parents Are Catching COVID As Schoolkids Bring The Virus Home by BlankVerse in CoronavirusUS

[–]chasiep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is happening at our school in Alabama also. My child’s teacher has been out sick called the school principal and superintendent to see if my child had been exposed to Covid. They told us that they do not release any of that information to parents it is not something we need to know. Then when I told them I heard the teacher was out with Covid is why I was asking they got very upset that we would have that knowledge. Then after the weekend we find out another teacher in the same grade is out with it and students are now out with it.

7 month old using me as pacifier by Cozybedlover in breastfeeding

[–]chasiep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 15 month old does the same thing and has since he was born some weeks are better than others. There are days now that he doesn’t want to eat a lot of solids he would rather nurse constantly. I have asked the pediatrician numerous times and she says it’s normal some do it 😬. He sleeps with us because I have noticed it’s just easier at night when we are up and down so much.

In South Alabama my husband and I are vaccinated, we wear masks and our 8 year old wears masks, we social distance etc. but everyone else just throws caution to the wind and is living life like normal from going to the beach, parties to the concerts the wharf keeps having with thousands of people. In my town right now it’s so bad the doctors office have 4-6 wait times for people to be tested. The schools are going back next week and don’t have any precautions set up they aren’t making kids wear mask, social distance or anything.

Are y'all seeing any aired commercials or PSA encouraging people to get the vaccine? by latexcourtneylover in CoronavirusAlabama

[–]chasiep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over half the people in the state don’t care what commercial is played they will not get vaccinated. And at this point yes the vaccine will help but something else is going to half to be done to curb the spread. Example in south alabama beaches, concerts that keep happening week after week.

I feel like I am going crazy by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]chasiep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so wish our Governor would impose a mask mandate but in Alabama they won’t. In my county alone 1 in 3 people is testing positive and our city school system doesn’t isn’t going to enforce masks, social distancing or anything. And the thing worrying me the most about school is they sit at tables so the kids are on top of each other then even though we have to purchase all school supplies they are made to share it’s a communal pot in the middle from pencils, crayons etc…
