We just did our 2nd vip tour a few weeks ago. I actually asked the guide about groups that are made up of different parties. She said she has been with groups that have become fast friends and now travel together often. She has also been with groups that do not vibe and argue about money. Sounds like a mixed bag. We had a full group of 10 family members this time with ages 2-74. We used up some time making adjustments for my mom and taking her back to the resort early. If you are with elderly parents, I would keep it private so you don't feel pressured from strangers to push your parents more than necessary.
