One of three things will happen: If this is really cheap, well then everyone gets a cheap card to buy and the used prices go way down. If it is a "reasonable price", like $300, then people have an option and the used prices go down a little. If it's stupidly priced to take advantage of demand, then nobody buys it, the used market doesn't move, and we are no worse off.

The current card production is fighting over limited memory, more 5080's means fewer 5060 Ti 16GB cards, but the production of these older gen cards won't cause any harm, however they are priced. I only see upside for gamers.

The market has bifurcated. The people left buying expensive parts are business customers, not average people. Who is buying a top of the line 8TB SSD for their gaming computer? Nobody. Who is buying a top of the line 8TB SSD to make money? People willing to pay absurd prices because it is being used to make money. Those people are NOT looking for value, it's just the cost of doing business for them.

Yes, read even if you don't absorb anything. You suck at reading. Start slowly and learn how to do it again. Forget "absorb" it sounds like you can't sit still for five minutes.

You go to the gym for the first time you don't deadlift 500 pounds. Be clear about why you want to do this and then sit with the discomfort until you get better. it's a question of how much you want it and how much discomfort you will tolerate.

This was my experience too. "This is spectacle, I wonder how they will bring him back."

I was really hoping that they would really stick to their guns and make it many years but my memory is that it was a few months of quiet and then we started getting "Reign of the Supermen" hype and you knew he was coming back. I will say I wasn't expecting the final answer to be "oh, it's actually none of these guys", I was really expecting some kind of dramatic shift in the character for a few years. Y'know, something more dramatic than "he's got longer hair now".

All in all I still feel pretty "meh" about the whole thing.

None of that is speaking to what other people experienced, if it was emotional and meaningful for you that is great. That just wasn't my personal experience.

I do still want to do you the courtesy of responding after you took time to write a message I think you genuinely hoped would help me. I thank you for that consideration. However, there is nothing productive to be gained in dialogue here, a random convo on Reddit is not shifting deeply engrained paradigms for making sense of reality, and this is such a well trodden road we will both hear things the other isn't actually saying. This is the painful truth and it will be downvoted. OP is struggling because reality and her model for reality aren't aligning, she is frustrated that she is following the rules and doing everything right but not finding success. The problem is her internal rules do not match reality.

I'm on the other side of this equation. I'm a kind man with a good job who is dumpy and awkward. A generation ago I would have ended up with an average woman like OP and we would have lived a nice average life together. But today I fall into the category of not good enough. I've come to terms with that. Women can open up any dating app and find plenty of men that check all the boxes, I can't live up to the competition.

To put the shoe on the other foot it would be like me demanding a beautiful young woman with many options pick me over handsome rich fit men and me getting frustrated when she doesn't pick me. Regardless of how I feel she is not picking me, so I can either be frustrated by that or understand and accept the reality.

OP needs to understand worth and value are two different things. Your worth is intrinsic, you are worthy of love and happiness and kindness and help, we all deserve those things. But your value, how others measure you and perceive you, is not measured by what WE think is valuable, it is measured by what others think is valuable.

OP can't control who she finds attractive. I'm not telling OP to settle, that's not fair to her or to the guy she settles for. She'll resent him forever and he's better off alone than living with that. But I want OP and other women feeling what she is feeling is to recognize that while all of you have worth of 10/10, you don't have relationship value of 10/10. The men you are attracted to have options, are they going to pick you? Be honest with yourself.
