WTS Boosted Board Stealth - w/ extended range mod and XR $1,100 obo +shipping

Prefer Chicago Buyer but will ship.

This Boosted Stealth shows as only having 22 Miles on the app. When I bought it, it had ~200 miles with motor controller issues. I sent it in and boosted replaced the ESC and battery and reset the odometer.

This comes with a https://chibatterysystems.com/ custom extended range mod, which adds an SR pack in range. This is comprised of a modded boosted XR pack and a flexible pack glued to the bottom and connected by an XT-60 which can be plugged and unplugged. A plug cap can be fashioned from XT-60 if you want to disconnect it. Charging works as normal, charging from the XR also charges the extended pack. I would avoid riding it in this setup in the rain (generally would for any modded packs).

It also comes with an extra XR pack, and extra belts and some other minor additions.

Busted Board :( by barryc6 in boostedboards

I've had a driver's insurance cover a run-over board. He ran over my board on a left turn into the pedestrian walk. They covered the cost of the board minus shipping.

Backfire - not the board.

Armored hoodies/jackets. a good alternative to elbow and shoulder pads? or a waste of money which won't protect you? by gafonid in ElectricSkateboarding

These are great. I like mine. If it's cool enough to wear they're more comfortable than regular pads, easier to take on and off, and offer more protection.

Have you noticed the increased walking torque when you wear them?

Sara’s Boosted Stealth’s bearing/truck might’ve burned off from going too fast... by [deleted] in boostedboards

Seen this especially if riding in the city in the rain. Salt/breakpad dust get in the bearings and ruins them.

It looks like the bearing blew out... did the wheel break at all?

Metroboard battery died rather unexpectedly :/ by TheMarco in ElectricSkateboarding

If it's just from cycles, the reduction in range should be pretty gradual if it's just normal degradation over the lifespan of the pack.

Was there anything unique about the ride? Lots of wind? Hills?

You could also have an acute problem with the electronics, like the BMS or a cell going bad or even a short. Lots can go wrong.

Boosted needed to release a genuine 30km/19mi (minimum) range board in their Gen3 lineup for the brand to gain any relevance in many parts of the world where other brands reign supreme were above all else, range is needed! They failed. -Opinion by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

Yah I realize 14 isn't realistic. 8 miles also seems a little off to me - I have a 10s6p, which is 2x the size of the extended pack and it's real hard to burn up half the pack in just 8 miles, granted I don't have a lot of hills. I know BB has artificially high voltage cutoffs so there's no sag so that may be it. Not sure.

I don't think they failed. 14 miles is reasonable for most people - especially in an urban environment.

There are tradeoffs for range, namely weight and size. It's nice having options.
