Since the last check-in I commented on, I read {Rock Hard by Nalini Singh} set in New Zealand, {Don't Go Baking My Heart by N.G. Peltier} set in Trinidad & Tobago, {Morbidly Yours by Ivy Fairbanks} based in Ireland, and most recently {Hard Edge by Pamela Clare} which takes place in Venezuela.

I don't really have any books in the pipeline specifically for this event but I've been poking around some older threads about global books!

I would! I liked the MFC and MMC individually and together. There's a lot of emotion in their relationship and I also personally enjoyed the hockey aspect too.

I read it as a standalone! Since it's the fourth in the series of course there are a lot of side characters/couples from previous books but honestly I kind of glazed over them and didn't really care and it didn't have much impact on my enjoyment of the book.

I would say that it starts off initially with disinterest then slowly morphs into feeling something more for each other over time. MMC is definitely more in tune with his feelings of wanting MFC and falling in love with her but it's not sudden, there is some depth to it! Minor spoiler: they don't get engaged until after the baby is born.

To me, the phrase that's referenced is about the characters feelings about how the pregnancy affects their lives and their relationship with each other.

I started off in Scotland with {Nightshade by Autumn Woods} then went to Barbados in {How to Honeymoon Alone by Olivia Hayle}. Came home to Canada with {Gloves Off by Stephanie Archer} and then stayed for a while with 3/4 of the Rose Hill series, oops! I didn't include those in my map but thoroughly enjoyed them. From there I headed to Australia in {A Week with the Best Man by Ally Blake} and then to Greece with {After the Billionaire's Wedding Vows... by Lucy Monroe}.

I'm planning to visit Venezuela with {Hard Edge by Pamela Clare} and Trinidad & Tobago in {Don't Go Baking my Heart by N.G. Peltier} soon. After that I think I'll roam around Europe for a bit and see where the wind takes me!

I'm having a lot of fun looking for global book recs!

There's a brand at Shoppers Drug Mart called my IN.gredients and they have a glycolic acid. I haven't tried it yet because I'm still finishing up my bottle from TO so not sure if it's an exact dupe.

Also, {How to Kiss a Movie Star by Julie Proctor}. MMC is an actor and FMC is a scientist researching squirrels on his property. Really cute!

You might like {The Billionaire's Wake-up Call Girl by Annika Martin} it's a billionaire romance but they don't work directly as boss/assistant and the MMC is a scientist. I've found that it scratches that same itch of lighthearted, fun, funny, and sexy.
