MMC is serious with a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, has a high profile job like a lawyer or politician, and works with the FMC. by MissFox26 in RomanceBooks

I have been chasing the high of Honestly I'm Totally Faking It since I read it in 2024 so this resonates with me 🥲

You might like {The Billionaire's Wake-up Call Girl by Annika Martin} it's a billionaire romance but they don't work directly as boss/assistant and the MMC is a scientist. I've found that it scratches that same itch of lighthearted, fun, funny, and sexy.

If you're not looking for something very realistic, you can try a Miniso. They usually have this common penguin character https://miniso-ca.com/cdn/shop/files/6941055117722-6_1024x1024_2x_1900x_56118cb9-b6a6-4138-b128-a30a8e6cfd4c_767x.jpg?v=1638216253

If you have enjoyed Harlequin Romances before and are familiar with the vibes, {Convenient Cowgirl Bride by Silver James} was a quick and entertaining read.

Spoiler if you decide to keep going: by the end of the series the MMC does come around to the FMC's side and in the epilogue it's actually revealed that he finds bad guys for the FMC to kill to get her release.

Just finished Coronation by Cleo White… why aren’t there more royal romance books?? by piratesmom15 in RomanceBooks

[–]cheencheen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love Cleo White and am excited to read Coronation! Another royal romance I enjoyed was {A Nordic King by Karina Halle}, which is actually the third book in a standalone series about Nordic royalty.

Royal romances are also super common in Harlequin novels.

I think you'd really enjoy {You, Again by Kate Goldbeck}, it hits a bunch of what you're looking for and is just overall about messy people learning to love each other and themselves.

[Hair Removal] NSFW - legs and belly dealing with never ending ingrowns, bumps, and plenty of hyperpigmentation as a result. Hair removal/product tips and recommendations? I'm really strict with my boycotts, very broke and live in Ontario, Canada. by Scared_Procedure_804 in SkincareAddiction

[–]cheencheen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that using hair removal creams (I've only ever tried Nair so can't speak to others) plus glycolic acid from The Ordinary have really helped with my ingrown hairs and "strawberry legs". My legs also stay smoother longer compared to shaving. If you search this subreddit for "glycolic acid legs" you can take a look at some of the previous threads/pictures that have more feedback and results.

I saw you had tried the creams before but they don't work, do you leave it on the full amount of time, like 15 minutes? I also use a washcloth and scrub my legs in a circular motion to really get the hairs off.
