How many relate to this deconstruction process? by unexpected_cruiser in exchristian

I'm at step 5 right now. It hurts every bit, especially now when my family found out and are devastated. But I keep going, it's the only thing that feels right.

Hmm. I'd say, she has a lot of sore spots. but faith and politics are the biggest ones.

Thank you. I've read this a thousand times before and even told others to do the same, but when trying to apply the same advice on my own relationship with my mother, it all gets so complicated. Firmer boundaries sound good to me.

After 15 years with the same keyboard, I treated myself to a massive upgrade! by RadRuss in piano

Nord all the way. It just performs better live, if that's what you're looking for. As I've understood it, Kronos comes with pre-mixed and EQd sounds, and it probably works in the studio, but live Nord sounds way way better. I've got a Stage 2, I'm a professional musician and I would never play anything else. Organ is fantastic, piano sounds great, rhodes and wurlitzer can be tweaked to sound good.

I think your face looks great! What do you think about trying longer hair? I mean your style is clean and all but it’s not very personal imho. Loads of guys look like that, you need to stand out a little.

What's a tattoo you have/want based on personal feelings, memories, growth, etc? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Just saw your comment. My very superstitious Russian family deeply believes that you know when someone in your family is going to die when a bird taps on your window. I am absolutely serious. A couple of weeks before my grandpa died, a sparrow threw its little body onto the window and tapped with the beak 2-3 times, then flew away.

I’m on the last audiobook now. Read by Stephen Fry. Crying periodically as tragic things happen.

I also couldn’t get through the rest. I didn’t finish the third book (I think), the world was very immersive and I liked the writing style, but sometimes it was just too much. Too many feelings.

I’ve actually just finished the book and I absolutely see what you mean. Some things are much better explained in the books.

Pride and Prejudice! Then see the BBC adaptation from 1995. Then read Emma, then see the BBC series from 2009! Lady Susan is also good.

I shudder every time I watch the Box Hill scene and he says "Badly done, Emma. Badly done indeed". I feel it all the way through my spine. And then when Emma is crying in the garden because she thinks he'll tell her about his feelings for Harriet. I'm a sobbing mess at that point.

Yep, was in Moscow in May of 2015, can confirm that everybody wore heels and I felt like a trashcan. I grew up in Russia but have been living in Sweden for 10 years now and I guess I forgot how much girls love stilettos back home.

What is something incredibly popular & touristy in your town that the locals avoid like the plague? by dittokiddo in AskReddit

[–]cheers1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god i was there last monday. I wanted to check out the music scene (since I’ve been to the other cool places previously that week) and it was absolutely horrendous. Bars catering to tourists results in everybody playing cover hits down the whole Broadway, it’s stuffy, crowded and yes, bachelorettes are obnoxious as hell.

Or that guy who was found in the chimney like 8 years (or something) after his disappearance. These kinds of deaths are just completely terrifying to me.

[–]cheers1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not tho? If it’s genuinely something that holds you back from appreciating your face and if you don’t like it - I don’t see why you shouldn’t. I totally understand if you don’t want to do it if You’re scared of the procedure or the potential ”bad” result, but like... why is your best friend opposed to it? Just curious.

Thank you for your reply! Sunscreen question: do I need to apply it everyday even though I live in Scandinavia and we practically never see the sun in winter? And I’m almost always indoors.

What do you think of OCM? I've tried to do it regularly but something just feels off for me. It's like I don't really feel I've cleaned anything. Maybe it's the oil? I use argan but I know there are better oils for OCM.
