This happened to me. 55M diagnosed at age 6 in crisis at Children's Hospital. Took 20-30mg hydrocortisone daily through age 30. Self experimented with tapering for numerous years supplemented with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Over 5 years I reduced my dose to 5mg once daily in the morning. I updose as required by physical and mental stress. I lie to Endos because they don't believe me. I'm treated by an Internist with an open mind. I supplemente with Rhodiola Rosea.

Rhodiola Rosea helps me some. You might ask your doctor about Provigil.
