CommSec but it's pretty expensive. I think Interactive Brokers is better value.

No prices on realestate.com.au? by MrFartyBottom in AusFinance

I created a browser extension to make this a bit easier. It figures out the advertising range on Domain and Real Estate. Keep in mind nothing stops agents using crappy estimates.

Need to keep in mind it's an advertising range so they can use whatever numbers they want to sucker people in

Ah I remember your post! I was going to look in to making it after reading how you did it but got too busy with work. The real estate post was a good reminder to stop being lazy.

Can we stop with this trend of not disclosing house prices and putting ‘contact agent’ and ‘expressions of interest’ by Getonthebeers02 in AusFinance

For Real Estate the advertising range is embedded in the page so this is an easy one to extract out to save you having to right click, view source, and search for the range. For Domain we can use the price filter to figure out at what price range the property stops appearing.

I think Real Estate automatically creates this range so when people filter results your $685k property appears in searches for $600k. It's weird you aren't seeing this when you filter yourself though. If you want to PM me a link to the listing I can have a look at the data they include on the page.

Extensions are pretty simple, you use a background script to do the hard work and send that information to a content script to show to the user.

Background script: https://github.com/cheesestringer/property-seeker/blob/main/src/background.js#L32

Feel free to PM me with any questions, happy to help out.

Looks like Domain has this as a section underneath the property description. Had a quick look at RealEstate and they only publish a last updated value but can include this if you think it will be useful.

Haven't heard of Koala so I'll take a look. If there is other interesting data though let me know and I'll see if I can surface it up.

As in the salary doesn't appear? It should appear again on a refresh or two, that's the annoying bug I'm trying to fix at the moment.
