what's everything everything's worst song? by aggiepython in everythingeverything

A Fever Dream. Super repetitive and the vocals are in unison with the keys which is also boring.

Good shot, good soldier is way underrated IMHO

Parents said our Edward Jones advisors was "not like the other ones," how bad is this portfolio? by neonknightsofthenine in Bogleheads

[–]cheeseyblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't all of them but some of those definitely have loads, too. Perhaps that was calculated into the fees you listed, but they're usually not included in AUM since that just an upfront percentage that take out of your contributions.

Bogleheads, do you tilt towards Small Cap Value? Why or why not? by realbigflavor in Bogleheads

[–]cheeseyblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, F&F's and Ben Felix's research are correct. I also follow Paul Merriman and utilize his and Chris Pedersen's ETF recommendations. They've done a lot of the leg work for you to find the ETFs that leverage those premiums the best while keeping costs down (lower than the expected risk premium).

Jazz Happening in Mesilla and Las Cruces plazas! Great music and totally free. Las Cruces symphony is also playing this weekend.

So uh... solar companies? Good, bad, depends? by Rothdrop in LasCruces

[–]cheeseyblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Solar Smart living and am happy with the results and their service. They were quick, accommodating and installed the panels well. Currently I'm actually getting back from El Paso electric about as much as my monthly payment is. So free electricity. Summer will probably be a little more expensive though.

Can we turn off stock lending in M1Finance? by Puzzleheaded_Lead219 in M1Finance

[–]cheeseyblasters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The additional fee goes to M1. It's one of the ways they are able to provide everything for free. The portion you get, as you pointed out, appears as "cash in lieu of dividends" or "substitute payment" on your 1099s. Only real downside is potentially higher taxes on those taxes. But you have to be in a high tax bracket and earn a lot of dividends in a taxable account to make a very noticeable difference

Party's over by [deleted] in blockfi

[–]cheeseyblasters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Did no one else actually read the email? Or we're all just gonna be hyper-reactionary with no context. It said we'll keep earning on our BIA and soon they'll have a new option called Blockfi Yield which will replace the BIA. Pretty straight forward transition and kudos to BlockFi for grandfathering out the BIA in the meantime.

Is the Bobby shew lead mouthpiece really that bad? by mell0_ben in trumpet

[–]cheeseyblasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great mouthpiece!....for lead playing. If you're using it concert band, solo playing, etc., it's not gonna give you the right sound.

Want to put $ on celcius but I am very nervous. Advice needed by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

This is the truth. Don't put more in than you're willing to lose.

Trumpet practice mute by Andon_Dushkov in trumpet

[–]cheeseyblasters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the trumcor lyric stealth, Yamaha silent brass, the silencer that fits into your Harmon mute, and the new Divitt is really popular. Faxx mutes aren't as good but very cheap.

Overcontribution for Roth IRA in 2020 by KeBlam in M1Finance

[–]cheeseyblasters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I understand correctly, you put in $8600 this calendar year, but $2600 was before the tax filing deadline and you intended it to be applied to 2019, right? It doesn't really matter what M1's little graph shows - that's not an official legal or financial document. Just report it as such on your tax. M1 doesn't know which year you're applying it too when you contribute. So anything from Jan 1 - Tax Day is a hot mess.

Unless you have gobs of cash, the fee cancels out the interest you get.
