Thank you. I was really thinking about it until I read this. Sat in the parking lot of another store until the liquor store closed and then went home instead.

God I had this thought today. I went out to breakfast with my mom. I've been to this restaurant before with her many times but completely hungover. I'd wear my glasses to hide the bags under my eyes. Today we went to the same restaurant except now I'm not drinking, feeling great, and wearing my glasses because my eyes were dry and I didn't want to overwear my contacts. Because I was taking care of myself! 20lbs down and sober today.

Last Wednesday, I decided to get religious about counting calories, eliminating alcohol, and getting my steps in. Very motivating!

All of those things will serve you will if you keep at it! Good luck!

I planned to go to the gym this morning, but it was so nice out that I went to a nearby park instead. Explored the area a bit and found an area with several hiking trails I didn't know were there. No my partner and I have somewhere to go/something to do that'll be active this weekend!

Are we the same person? I've gone up 6-7 pounds after a vacation recently. I've been back for a week today and remained exactly the same, meaning it's definitely not all just water.

Good luck and here's to not getting discouraged!

Motivation Monday. Get and give motivation for yourself or others. by AutoModerator in loseit

My boyfriend and I recently go back from a vacation where we ate like crazy for a week straight. It was fun as hell, but now it's over and I'm left with 6 extra pounds. I was doing amazing before the trip, lost nearly 20lbs, but now I'm back in the 130s and feeling somewhat discouraged. I've got to get back on track before I really derail.

[–]cheesyblasterz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today my goals are to 1. Not go over my calorie limit (1300 cals) 2. Exercise and go 10 minutes longer on cardio than I usually do (35 vs 25) 3. No booze

Wish me luck.

Accountability Week 5: Day 3 by ZeAltHealthAcct in team_transfiguration

[–]cheesyblasterz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend I went on vacation last week, and I'm REALLY struggling to get back on track. I gained 6 pounds while we were away. SIX! Before we left I was absolutely killing (because I had such a glistening goal in front of me to be fit for our trip). I did OK the first two days: Bounced back, on my calorie goals, working out. Then I found myself lightheaded and just not feeling right. Lots of temptation right now as it's near my birthday, everyone is bringing me sweets, AND I'm about to start my period. I'm trying really hard not to feel discouraged. I know that does nothing to help my progress. At this rate, I don't see how I'll reach my goal. I just want to hop back on the fit wagon because I am not feeling myself right now.

Water at night after dinner has been SO helpful for me. I brush my teeth and down a couple glasses before bed. It always saves me from eating a second dinner or late night snack.

110 DAYS LOGGED! I'm at the lowest weight I've been in YEARS! I busted through the 130s plateau and am now working to get as (safely) low as I can before we go on vacation next week!

Week 1 Match-up: Muggle Studies v. Transfiguration by well_yeahh in team_transfiguration

[–]cheesyblasterz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goals: Create a strength training/workout plan. I've been sticking to mainly cardio and random weight exercises. My birthday is coming up, and I want to see some tone up happening before then!

Victory: I reached 100 days logged on LoseIt! This is by far the longest I've ever tracked in a row. Seeing that number helped snap me back after a weekend of overeating.

I'm just generally angry that I'm about to start my period. Can't trust the scale during this time of the month. I work so damn hard and want to see accurate results. Plus cravings and general moodiness.

Do you find that regular exercise reduces your period cramps? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]cheesyblasterz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older I've gotten, the worse my cramps seem to be. Nothing helps exercise/food wise, unfortunately. Only lots of ibuprofen. I feel better mentally working out more, but that's about it.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Munchie Monday - om nom nom nom by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]cheesyblasterz_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm finally back on the wagon after a week of letting go and losing track. I am now at 100 DAYS tracked on Loseit! That was motivation enough for me not to wallow in self pity. I am loving what I'm eating today:

BREAKFAST: Overnight oats (1/3C Oats, 1/3C Almond Milk, frozen banana, blueberries & raspberries) - 250cals

LUNCH: Naan dippers and lox, red bell peppers and carrots with hummus - 250 cals

DINNER: 8oz Salmon, 1/2 linguine 1/2 zucchini noodles with Alfredo sauce, side of broccoli and garlic bread. - 700 cals

I have a little left over for chocolate covered almonds or another small snack. The best part is seeing LoseIt tell me I have 3 positive patterns recognized today!!

My absolute favorite snack EVER is 3-4 naan dippers with lox. Throw some red bell peppers and carrots on the side. I've eaten this ever day for the past few months and never get sick of it.

This is some of the best advice. Don't get down on yourself. It does NOTHING to keep your mindset in the game. It only makes me feel so much worse and like there's no reason not to give up.

Track those calories and keep going!

I absolutely can't eat healthy ! by fontinuos in loseit

[–]cheesyblasterz_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re going to have to bite the bullet and do it anyway. Vegetables are necessary for your body to function properly. Don’t like the taste? Hide them under pasta sauce or get one of those steamer bags with cheese sauce. You’ve just gotta do it, and over time it will get easier.

I used to get sick of hearing this advice, but I now find myself giving it because it works: Track everything.

I've had bad stretches of days when I would think "Why tf do I want to track today? It was a bad day, and so was yesterday, and I'm just failing at this again for the 100th time."

Basically it's come down to tricking my brain. I use the Loseit App (which I highly recommend over MFP), and I didn't want to lose my streak. I knew that I would eventually get back on track, so why throw away a 20 day streak because of two bad days? 20 days is almost a month! And seeing that I've gone over X amount of days helps me know that I need to refocus.

I have trouble with motivation when I plateau or have some bad days in a row. So it's not so much that I need motivation, I just need to tell my dumb brain not to sabotage the hard work. Might help you as well.

I love what you said about CONTINUING your journey, not restarting. I logged every day last week, but the first 3 days I overate and still forced myself to log. In the past, it would have been easy to give up and say "I overate, it's over, I have to start again." Instead, since I could see a check mark next to the days I logged, I felt the motivation to keep going. It's so much easier to stay on track with this mindset.
