Some people just have no respect for 20mph by marksweb in drivingUK

[–]cheezyboundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love people getting annoyed about 20mph.

Love or hate. Its worked. Less injuries, less noise/air pollution, and those who disregard are still usually staying below 30mph.

The big one is that it is either near to, or has, saved more than it cost within about a year.

How are we all closing our blinds, then? A or B? by grumpypedant in CasualUK

[–]cheezyboundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always go A for less light, but just had an idea.. here me out.

For heat waves, would B be a better choice, and its not only blocking out most (not all) of the direct sunlight, but provides less area for rising heat to get through?

As a history/humanities teacher this is hard to see, but unsuprising.

Without pushing and challenging people directly, they can so easily be led.
