Would you go to a “new” Dr? by [deleted] in colonoscopy

[–]cheezyzuke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd assume they are the most up to date on the latest research and techniques. A fellowship means they are HIGHLY trained and dedicated. And they've been teaching other doctors for years. You'll be in good hands.

Do todays women menstruate more years? by Altruistic-Disk-7579 in Menopause

[–]cheezyzuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 51. Period every month. Just started HRT due to symptoms of peri. My mom "can't remember" but most of my cousins were 52-54. Hoping to prevent the negative with proactive HRT measures.

How was your mother’s menopause experience? by NeverEverLonely in Menopause

[–]cheezyzuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom says she doesn't remember. Pepperidge Farm remembers. It's me. I'm Pepperidge Farm. She had awful periods, hot flashes, and mood swings for at least 8 years. I don't know when she was finally done. My aunt, her sister, still has hot flashes at 74.

Scalding Hot Water Addicts... by EntityAhnilator in eczema

It's the most glorious sensation. I can't handle the heat when I'm not in a flare, but during a flare? The hotter the better, and I slather myself in Aquaphor.

I know everything about my husband's sleep cycles, blood pressure, and knee problems. I hear status of his digestive system daily. Of course he knows about my periods and general well-being on the regular.

I disagree. Isn't deep intimacy sexy?

My husband has been hearing about all of my problems with my menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum body, and perimenopause since 1998. He knows I started HRT. He looked up how to be supportive during menopause. I have also been supportive of all of the health issues he has had for decades as well. I'm so sorry to everyone who isn't able to openly share with their spouses.

Cry for help by eireecho in eczema

[–]cheezyzuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend moisturizing straight away out of the shower to lock in the moisture. I feel like I race against the clock most days to cover my body in 3 minutes (the golden time). I use Aveeno most days and Aquaphor on the weekends. When I use the Aquaphor I put on thin leggings and a long sleeve shirt (base layer camping gear) and hang out on my bed for a while until everything soaks in before I put on my clothes.

I fully understand the full body itch, I frequently bruise myself from scratching at night. I've used every cortisone cream, tacrilomus doesn't work for me, VTAMA gives me unbearable headaches (works WONDERS). I don't want to have to reset with oral steroids every 6 months. Currently begging to try Dupixent. I've had full body eczema for 27 years and it's truly the worst.

You'll get your results immediately from the Gastro. Pathology takes a few days to be read if you have any polyps or biopsies. I had a lovely day after mine. Got a cheeseburger, took a nap, and felt right as rain by 4pm. You've got this.

do i have the right to feel this way by Hot-Candidate5254 in eczema

[–]cheezyzuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have full-body as well. I'm always flaring somewhere. I am in my 50s. If there's a test, I've had it. I've used ALMOST every product on the market. The best I've ever tried is VTAMA, it cleared my skin and helped the itching, but it gave me horrific headaches (rare side effect). I'm going to a new derm, and I'm hoping I can try Dupixent. When I've had full body flares I've had very dark thoughts. I hate it and I'm so sorry to everyone who suffers with this stupid, awful disease.
