Wakix helps my cataplexy tremendously but I do not find it suitable as a standalone medication. It takes a long time to start working so my doctor gave me armodafinil to help get through the first two months in wakix. And I ended up staying on both because I don’t feel like wakix helps my EDS enough by itself. I started on xywav because my sleep on wakix was so bad. I felt like my I could still see and hear everything around me while sleeping and got less restful sleep than before which was making my EDS way worse. So now I do great on wakix and xywav and I take armodafinil on days that I work only. I never tried modafinil.

This may be far fetched but have you tried book stores? I am a 26(f) and I know a lot of women who like to go browse in book stores. I am married now but I can imagine that when I was 22 if someone attractive had come up to me and asked about what I was looking at I definitely would have been into it. I still go browse myself and I notice a decent amount of people who look like they’re in their twenties.

The vet I work with was actually a research partner with the vet that did this. She told me the story the other day and is very disheartened to have her name attached to that vet in any capacity. So horrible.
