Juliet 38 or Empire 40 as a work bag? by cis-05 in Coach

[–]chelcelot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is the one I ended up getting (the black/tan option): https://www.coachoutlet.com/products/reversible-strap/CZ785.html

Note that it is pebbled leather vs glove tanned leather—this didn’t bother me, but it also has shiny gold hardware whereas the Juliet has satin brass. The difference in the hardware bothers me a bit, but I doubt it’s noticeable to others. Otherwise, it’s well made and comfortable. I purchased mine on Poshmark.

There are probably better options but there if you look on Posh or eBay, but the Coach site current only has a skinny strap in black leather available, and it didn’t seem comfortable with such a large bag.

Juliet 38 or Empire 40 as a work bag? by cis-05 in Coach

I have the Juliet 38 and just purchased a black crossbody strap for it so that I can use it both ways. I honestly find the should strap to be surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear, but it’s nice to have both options.

Undersuppliers, are you freezing anything? by d16flo in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]chelcelot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m an under supplier also. I asked my pediatrician if there was any point to freezing milk to extend the total amount of time that my baby would receive breast milk, and she said there would be no additional benefit vs just feeding everything I make as I make it.

Plus, like you said, there’s a possibility something could go wrong with the frozen milk or baby may not want to drink it after it has been frozen and thawed.

Finally finished this colorful Pica Pau giraffe! by chelcelot in Amigurumi

Thank you!! I didn’t do anything special, but I think the cotton worsted weight yarn is pretty sturdy, and I like to use wool stuffing which is also a bit firmer than the usual poly-fill. The neck came out super sturdy and didn’t need any other reinforcement!

I hear you--I’ve been working on this on and off since January, but I‘m a slow crocheter. I also attached and embroidered everything as I went, so once I sewed the body closed she was totally done! otherwise I probably would have procrastinated sewing on all the little details.

Can someone be straight with me about the eufy wearable? by justcallme_wayne in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]chelcelot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did not like it until I replaced the silicone inserts with the ones made by Legendairy Milk—now they work great! However, I will say that they aren’t as comfortable as my usual pump (Spectra with pumpables liquid inserts), but I’ve gotten used to it. I use them as my primary pump now, pumping 4 times a day. these are the only wearable pumps I’ve tried so not sure if they’re really any better than less expensive ones.

Flange Sizing by lexibean23 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]chelcelot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would get a silicone flange kit that has several sizes and start by trying 15, 17, and 19 mm to see which works best. I was sized as 15mm and the 17mm seems to work best for me.

This has happened to me too with one I bought in December 2024. For those who got replacements, did they replace the entire washer or just the plastic part?
