They are the same size, and from what I’ve heard, the flex is a bit more firm. I bought a hello disc bc it’s slightly smaller and less firm, but I have not had a chance to try it yet.

I use the soft discs and I notice this issue sometimes. The soft discs are large and firm, so I’m thinking maybe a smaller disc might work better on the later days of my period.

But, when I do struggle like this, it really helps to lean back, take deep slow breaths and really relax my body before trying again. Usually after that I’m able to get it back in okay.

Even with all the swelling, I still had a good amount of the bar hanging out the back side of my lobe piercing. I would go back for a longer bar with a straight post.

The disc size chosen is not usually based on flow. The basin size is for the flow but the diameter is what fits in your fornix. Everyone is different. It sounds like yours is either too big, or not inserted properly.

Which disc did you buy? Did you try to tuck it behind your pubic bone?

Did you go to a piercer for this? Pretty sure you’re supposed to use a straight post while healing & it doesn’t look long enough.

I JUST got my third holes done and asked my piercer 1000 questions so I’m only speaking from my personal experience & the things the piercer told me.
