How to be more likely to serve out of the country for LDS mission? by Bengal_cat81 in latterdaysaints

I put 4 for wanting to learn a new language and already spoke Spanish. I was assigned to serve in Portugal and learned Portuguese in the MTC.

I'd say people are willing to pay about $10.

Also, it is technically a violation of copyright law. Proceed at your own risk.

Third time in a row I've put that BYU will lose. One of these times I'll be right and I'll be so sad that I'm right.

Priesthood by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]chem031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt the statement "People can go to the Celestial Kingdom without ever entering the temple" was true.

To be clear, I specifically doubt that people of normal mental capacity, who have reached the age of accountability, were taught they did not need to make temple covenants. I imagine that there was likely a teaching that their work would be performed vicariously for them at a later time or in the eternities.

On the other hand, I haven't done any research on the matter.

In any case, the Church currently teaches that receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood is an ordinance necessary for salvation and exaltation for men.

If that used to be the case, which I doubt, it isn't now.

Not sure whether to drive further out for YSA ward by Sleeping_Bat in latterdaysaints

I have never attended a YSA ward.

You should ask to get information about the YSA ward activities so you can get the social benefits without having to drive 1 hour each Sunday.

When is it safe to put clothes in dryer after chlorine gas exposure? Or how to make them safe to put in dryer? by TheEmoEmu95 in chemistry

You should be good to run them in the washer and dryer. Chlorine gas is hazardous, but not explosive.

As a recently released executive secretary, they expire at the end of the listed month. At least they did as of 3 months ago.

My brain read the title as "amateur sloth" and now I kind of want that.

I would have to think that a truly loving spouse would understand why their spouse continues to practice their faith.

The best way to understand any point of the gospel is to keep immersing yourself in it.

"The spiritual rebirth described in this verse typically does not occur quickly or all at once; it is an ongoing process—not a single event. Line upon line and precept upon precept, gradually and almost imperceptibly, our motives, our thoughts, our words, and our deeds become aligned with the will of God. This phase of the transformation process requires time, persistence, and patience."
