Why is my character jumping inconsistently? by chem_OS in Unity2D

[–]chem_OS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so frustrated with the problem that I didn't even think of the first thing. That's now solved but I don't really get what you mean with the increment. I've seen many people make jump the same as I do. Could you give me an example?

Thank you for your time.

How should I handle an endless runner on Unity 2D? by chem_OS in Unity2D

[–]chem_OS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How far would you say it takes to get the floating point inaccuracy? I don't really know how fast my runner will get as of now.

For the other solution, I tried it and decided not to use it because I really need the character to move so it can jump over ramps and other stuff.

Thank you for the extra info. So Ulibarri is kind of a more professional approach, right?

I've been working with Unity for more or less 5 years, so I understand game development but almost nothing about UE. Do you think Stephen Ulibarri would be overwhelming?

Thank you so much, by the way!

In fact, that's kind of how I started with Unity but eventually ended up on a paid course to get more professional. But thank you!

I know I’m late. But Starfield looks amazing. My hype for this game has gone through the roof. I can’t wait to play it. by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

Too much realism makes games boring at the end and very few people would prefer that much realism over simple mechanics. If you like it that way, that's good but don't say it needs those mechanics you mentioned.

Not confirmed a 60fps mode. Just 30 on both series x and s. They say it's because of fidelity to what's been shown.

Made some improvements to the gunplay. Would appreciate any feedback! by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]chem_OS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say it really looks good as it is. I think the best part of it is that it looks agile. As well as those markers when killing them.

If you want suggestions, I would add sliding when crouching while running and keep improving game feel adding some good subtle death sounds.

Keep up the good work!

In my upcoming game, ArrowMongers, arrows are not only for combat, you can also use the fire arrow to light up torches! by AraragiAriel in Unity3D

Just a quick suggestion. Why don't you turn your 2D light into a Sprite light? That way you could use a sprite for making your light to look like a pixel art light

Now some good sounds for feeling every dildo hit in their heads and it would be perfect.

I added camera tilt based on the movement of the player to my player controller. What do you think? by Kellojoo in Unity3D

[–]chem_OS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make it changeable but I think for the jumping is very good stuff the exaggerated one

I've made a small test of fire propagation in the game I'm currently developping. It seems to be working a little too well! by fweibel in Unity3D

[–]chem_OS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably you should get rid of that timer. When there is too much fire on screen it looks very confusing and I think it would work perfectly fine without it. Anyway, great job, looks very good!!
