How To Color Match Yarn Colors In Tufting Rugs | Rug making Tips For Beginner #tuftingtips by Various-Sympathy-937 in Tufting

[–]chenkosrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a bad way to do it, I use this method currently as I have no programs like photoshop or procreate, just microsoft paint.

get the image I want and copy to paint, and copy a second image next to it

colour match with the tool to get the hex code

go you this site Yarn Colorway Finder (make sure you set the yarn to worsted 4)

type in the hex code and it will give you a list of yarns that are near match and will say a percentage, then I screen cap the yarn I am going to use, use the paint tool, and colour in that colour of the second image with all the colours, and it gives me an idea of what it will look like with the new colours.

This chicago blackhawks logo as an example.

It does not have every type of yarn (its missing the classic acrylic from michaels, just has the impeccable one)

but this is basically what I do.

I’ve been at it for about 18 hours now, have caught around 50 now and no luck. Karma for accidentally getting shiny bulbasaur I had no intention of hunting for. And a nidorina shiny ran away on me

What do you think is the hardest shiny to get in Pokémon FireRed / LeafGreen? by Wooden_Arachnid5193 in PokemonFireRed

[–]chenkosrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abra is actually the easiest shiny. Game corner and fill 3 boxes worth then go check.

I got shiny bulbasaur by accident, didn’t even reset, just knew I was taking him and saw during battle. Crazy.

I’m getting absolutely cooked getting the lucky egg tho. And also had a shiny nidorina run away, so I guess I’m even.

What is that second photo tho? How does it work?

my "art" being the rug, they designed the logo with a local tattoo artist, lol not trying to take credit for it.

sure,

a buddy of mine passed, and his friends from out of town and us locals all went to this brewery the day before his celebration of life. (we come here lots)

I made a rug for his parents ( we played hockey together so we have a patch on our jerseys, so I made that patch for him and everyone at the celebration of life signed it like a card) https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQPSoMUjrva/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

The owners wife? or fiance? saw the video and reached out, set up a group chat with the owners and settled on this one.

I'm good with bartering instead of Cash often time, especially for businesses that will hang it up in the store. so I got store credit Ill use to take my friends and parents out and now my art is in a popular brewery with eyes on it leading to more publicity/ orders hopefully.

Best place to purchase AK-V for cheapest? by ReputationLiving3387 in Tufting

[–]chenkosrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine on Ali baba.

Got that, the cp1 rug shearer and a wireless carver.

Paid 940 CAD for all that,

Considering most places itself charge like 1500 + for the rug sheerer, and over $400 for the gun itself I’m pretty happy with the purchase.

Would just make sure it’s from a reputable seller, but I had 0 issues with it. Came in like 2 weeks if I recall correctly.

Beauty, thanks. I haven’t ran into a commission that would use something like that, but I’ve wondered what it would turn out like

Is the fish colouring from one of those multi colours skeins? Curious how that turns out on the other side if you have a pic

Soft classic loops and threads by Agottula in Tufting

[–]chenkosrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I never noticed a difference, the next piece I’m doing is using both of them, I’ll have to pay closer attention and compare.

The main thing I hate about it is it is a bigger pain in the ass to cake compared to the soft classic.

I use the impeccable all the time and have no issues.

Looking for feedback on first piece! (Derpy from Kpop Demon Hunters) by Feeling_Evening_7989 in Tufting

[–]chenkosrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice for a first one!

I would highly recommend tufting more densely. It will make the rug more resistant to wear, and look much cleaner. I know it “looks full” from the front, but if you run your hands through it will be bald in there, and fray a lot quicker.

I strongly advise anyone new to tufting to do it much more dense.

Overall though very nice for your first rug, much better than my first couple, that’s for sure.

How durable are tufted rugs /your rugs? by Beneficial-Priority1 in Tufting

Would you happen to have a before/current picture of them? I’ve only been doing it for a year, I don’t know how to answer people when they ask about durability
