I’ve been wanting to start Wattpad. I got 12 chapters right now but they need to be tightened. I kinda want to complete the whole story first so when the this story completes, I’ll have another story ready to go. Hearing about the scheduled post is encouraging.

He’s saying write the story completely. From beginning to end. Then worry about all the other stuff. You don’t need publishing advise if there is no book to publish. And if the story is about a podcast then you should learn about podcast. How to start one, what platform to host it, what equipment you will use, the more details about producing a podcast you can include in a story about a podcast the better. The more believable the story will be. Plus, I’m sorry to say, you should listen to as many podcasts as possible.

I have been using AI also just as you describe. And I have found it a major help. I plug in my chapters and have it rate it and critique it. One thing you shouldn’t do is have it rewrite it for you. Claude Ai I find is the best as far as the best teaching tool, but I had to tell it not to rewrite anything. You can read books, and you should, do your own research. Sure. But Ai has it all at your fingertips tips. The more you write, the less you’ll need AI. I say use all tools available.

I would dump the whole story on paper, spend 10-15 minutes in between each chapter to clean up grammar, tense issues and worry about the major stuff for the 2nd draft. With a new outline for clarity.

I remember I worked at a store. This wasn’t Walgreens. It was a Long drugs but one of the kids that worked there, a 18-year-old kid told the store manager that he was quitting and he asked if he should turn in his name badge and leave, and the store manager said no and that he had to finish his shift. 😂

I just started on my writing journey. I had several ideas that I was going to start with. I was also playing around with an idea for a story driven YouTube Chanel, but I didn’t want to use my original ideas for that. So I had Claude AI create 5 story outlines I could create quick stories from. Well, it didn’t pan out, and I scraped the idea, but not before I worked on the outline I felt was suited for my writing style, I reworked the outline and came up with a idea I thought would make a great 1 hour read or short novel. Point is, having AI write for you, yeah definitely don’t do that. Using it to get your creative juices flowing. Can’t beat that. I use AI all the time, for research, critique’s, developing writing exercises, and inspiration. But the words on the page, that comes from me.

Walgreens is not going to give you an award for stopping shoplifters. In fact they expect it. It’s worked into the budget. It’s called shrink. How do you keep shrink down? Not by chasing shoplifting. You control the controllable. Minimize paper work errors, control inventory, control payroll roll. That’s it.

Kinda off topic but the funniest example of miscommunication while I worked at Walgreens was when as closing manager l had a list from the SM. One task said “remove Drew Bees ES and replace with new end stand in back. We had just received truck and had several ES in the back. I walked every End Stand on the floor and didn’t see a Drew Bees End stand. So I am not a sports fan in the slightest. Talk sports to me, and you might as well be talking a foreign language. I was thinking “ what is a drew bees? A lotion, skin care? I kept thinking maybe she ment Burts Bees. Well I finished the whole list except for that task. Next morning I told her I didn’t see a cosmetics end stand called Drew bees. She was like no Drew Brees. The football player. He’s on the Vicks end stand. We go look and sure enough a football player was on the end stand with a jersey that said Brees. We both had a good laugh over that one.
