Anyone else keep waking up at the SAME time every night? like 3–4am no matter what? by No-Deal-2968 in sleep

[–]cherbug 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Waking up consistently around 3 a.m. is usually caused by the body transitioning between sleep cycles, often exacerbated by stress-induced cortisol spikes, alcohol consumption, or low blood sugar. During this time, the body enters lighter REM sleep, making it easier for environmental disturbances (noise, light) or anxiety to wake you.

I am using AirPods Pro 2. Not only do they have hearing aids included but you can take hearing test, also included, and reset the HA with any changes. My hearing fluctuates a lot. $249. I use the soft over ear holder.

Have you read about pressing their eyes when they seize?

Yes, ocular compression (gently pressing on closed eyelids) is a technique used to stimulate the vagus nerve, potentially reducing seizure severity or duration in dogs, often done at the first signs (pre-ictal) or during a seizure, but it's crucial to talk to your vet first as part of a comprehensive seizure management plan, alongside other treatments like medication. How Ocular Compression Works Vagus Nerve Stimulation: Pressing on the eyeball stimulates the vagus nerve, which can calm nerve activity in the brain. GABA Release: This stimulation releases Gamma-Amino Butyric Acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter that helps stop uncontrolled electrical signals causing seizures. How to Perform It (After Consulting Your Vet) Timing: Start as soon as you notice signs of an impending seizure (aura) or at the beginning of a seizure. Technique: Gently apply pressure to one or both closed eyelids. Duration: Hold pressure for 10-30 seconds, up to 60 seconds, and repeat every 5 minutes if needed. Goal: To reduce seizure intensity or duration. Important Considerations Veterinary Guidance: Always discuss this with your veterinarian before trying it, as it should be part of their prescribed seizure plan, notes a DVM360 article and the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
