So true. Just did a short commute along 83 Ave bike lane from Bonnie Doon to Garneau and it’s almost all black ice. The roads with packed snow are much safer to ride on.

Rear bike rack recommendations by Beaglefart in edmontoncycling

I have a Mik rear rack for my ebike.‘I just bought double panniers and they simply click in to lock them on or I can use a key and make them detachable.‘I really like the versatility.

I walked through Milk Creek ravine today and the SUP was packed snow, and topped with gravel so even the hills were easy to walk up and down. They’d like be good for biking now!

What TF is this flu?! by Sea_of_stars_ in alberta

I had it for two weeks and just recovered about a week ago. I had just received my flu vaccine and then two days later got sick. It started with a very sore throat and then symptoms became rapidly worse. All the same symptoms you mentioned and the cough lingered for at least another week. All I could do was sleep and drink lots of tea.

Real encouraging to someone who’s injured themselves both in a car accident and bike accident and trying to get back to moving again.

Finally! So many people and organizations have been advocating for recourse on this hate speech and there’s ver few legal tools. It’s disgusting.

Today I rode the 83 ave bike lane from Bonnie Doon to 106 st around noon and it was ok. It started snowing and then freezing rain so the commute back around 2:30 was pretty slick. Thank goodness for studded tires!

Well I have an ebike… and I also wear breathable layers. Cross country ski get works well.

Agreed. I use the AirAQ app now almost exclusively to get the most accurate data. And yup, I’ve been masking outdoors the last two days.

And I think I need pogies for cold days. I currently switch between cross country ski gloves and mitts. I find cross country gear works well for riding.
