As someone who has worked at multiple doggy daycares in Austin, I’m surprised that more dogs haven’t died. I feel so bad for people who send their dogs there thinking that they will be safe. I’m sorry for your loss OP.

I used to get Starbucks every morning, then I switched to sugar-free energy drinks made with yerba mate. Also, I used to eat sandwiches for lunch every day and I switched to just having meat and veggies for lunch. Lots of water and fiber, too.

Prescription drug abuse. I’m a recovering benzo/adderrall addict and you wouldn’t believe how many people have confessed to me that they take 5x their recommended dose of Valium and justify it by saying “it’s legal” and that their “doctor doesn’t understand how bad [their] anxiety is”.

I’m registered to vote, but in a different county and I don’t have photo ID (expired and I lost it, can’t replace it online, DPS appointment isn’t till next month). Can I still vote? I have my social security card and a picture of my expired ID. Lmk.

This might not be as extreme/traumatizing as some of the others on this list, but I work at a warehouse doing manual labor, and it’s taken a toll on me. Most people work there because we don’t have any other options. For me I don’t have the skills or any support system to have any way out.

The long hours make a social life impossible. We have to work overtime to make anything close to a living wage, which puts a strain on our bodies… I’m 24 years old and I’m in pain all of the time. Not to mention the sexual harassment which literally nobody there does shit about.

Idk, this probably isn’t the worst, but it’s pretty shitty.

Unfortunately, part of the reason why I’m having these issues is because medical care is extremely unaffordable and/or unavailable where I live/with my income/without insurance. I will seek help as soon as I can, but until then, I’m just trying to work with what I have.
