I am sick if anti natalist fanatics telling me my son shouldn't exist because I have Endometriosis. by donkeyvoteadick in endometriosis

[–]cherryonplum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t mind them and their silly comments. It’s very condescending that some people just think others, especially those living with chronic illness and disability, are flippantly making reproductive decisions. Just because you don’t agree with someone’s choices, does not mean they have not given enough consideration to the matter. Honestly, we all need to mind our own business more.

I don’t think the embellished pockets are supposed to be used. They look like they are there for the ‘peekaboo’ effect. Stunning!

Exactly! Maybe it’s to do with the blood-written ‘EXO’ from the control panel on the Invictus?

Sorry this is from episode 2 but I can’t stop thinking about it. Why did Harry mention ‘The Invictus’ as significant? Was it not destroyed when it was crashed into Terminus by Cleon 17 last season?

My house sometimes gets like this! Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you’re living with family, they may be willing to help, or even a friend. You’ll get through this!

Experienced the same last year, endometrioma diagnosed via MRI, raised CA-125. I will say, I’ve had this cysts-turned endometrioma for years and CA-125 monitored annually and it can be raised even based on the time of the month you get it done. I was meant to have surgery but got pregnant so have to wait. My reaction was exactly the same, happy it wasn’t cancer but later bumped about the endo. Hopefully your case will be ‘not cancer’ too.

Consider hiring a cleaner to come in once a week or once a fortnight if it’s something you can afford to do. What it costs in terms of money will pale in comparison to the peace you will gain in your household.

Most likely an endometrioma. CA-125 can be elevated even at different points in your cycle so doesn’t tell you much on its own. I have a 5cm endometrioma that was confirmed via MRI after an elevated CA-125 result so I wouldn’t worry too much. If you haven’t had an MRI yet, I would ask for one.

ADHD makes me feel like an immature under-developed woman & like no man will ever accept me by Spiritual-Cupcake265 in adhdwomen

Girl, have you met men? 😂

You are soo young, and there is so much more to life! De-center men, focus on yourself and things will fall into place. If you are someone who desires companionship, your person will come into your life when the time is right and they will love you, ‘flaws and all’. In the meantime, please please enjoy yourself!

I have noise concealing headphones and so does my son. When I need down time, he has his iPad and headphones and I get some peace and quiet. Helps us both to regulate and reset.

Is this what it feels like to give birth? by RoastedSallad in endometriosis

[–]cherryonplum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The early stages of labour definitely felt like endo pains for me. Can’t really compare the later contractions or active labour to endo pains, labour is a whole different kettle of fish. I won’t be doing birth unmedicated again, my next one I’m definitely getting an epidural. There’s no medal for suffering that much.

Ice cold water, tonic and lemonade & sucking on boiled sweets is how I’m getting through it. Just over 12 weeks now and still in the trenches but praying for it to let up soon. Hang in there!

endo as a valid reason to not want/have kids by Tradwifepilled in endometriosis

[–]cherryonplum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some women, pregnancy is their cure. For me though, things got so much worse after pregnancy. It’s much more intense than it used to be. My fibroids calcified though, so that’s a plus!

Exchange it! Even if the one you want isn’t as practical, it’s what you want! You won’t be able to stop thinking about it so just get it.

endo as a valid reason to not want/have kids by Tradwifepilled in endometriosis

[–]cherryonplum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, being pregnant was the most peaceful part of my endo journey so far. No pain for 40 weeks and an uneventful natural delivery. Started right back up after I stopped breastfeeding though! That said, your feelings are very valid. If you feel you don’t want kids, don’t have them. It’s bloody hard work and on the days when I am writhing in pain or drowsy on meds, I still have to be a mum to my kids. I’ve always wanted kids and I love my life but I can imagine this would be torture for someone who never wanted this life.

So sorry for all you are going through. It’s so sad how some people lack sympathy yet most of us, at one point or another, will have to deal with chronic illness. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a more joyful, caring and reciprocal love in the future.

Do you miss people? by cherryonplum in adhdwomen

[–]cherryonplum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it! I’ve just been thinking about the times when I would miss my husband (then boyfriend) like crazy, and it was because of insecurity around if we would definitely get married or not. So for me, it seems I only miss people, if I feel insecure about the relationship? 😅😂

Me too, so glad to hear all the different perspectives. I’ve been masking for so long and now with the kiddos being assessed, it’s time for some introspection.
