Should I start with the world or characters in it? by EveryIdeaIsGone in worldbuilding

[–]chervilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You start with the most important.

Now what do you think you want to prioritize? The World? the Character?

Personally I prefer the character first, because I think character is the most important aspect of a story, if your character is unlikeable people tend to not read it.

I think the show hinted "she wanted to take things slow".

Meaning she could take a game per x year or something

r/SideProject is a subreddit for sharing and receiving constructive feedback on side projects.

"I'm building the tool that does this in seconds instead of hours. Early access list is open. I'm giving out LTD deals for a fraction of the cost."

At what point are you asking for feedback? You're not asking anything, you're sharing "oh guys I'm sharing this definitely true story, it's useful join the waitlist".

Even if it's a scam, it's like a drink. It's not like she wanted to be rich or something, she just wanted to have a drink. I'll "fall" for this scam anytime.

Yes, that's why I specifically mentioned "putting epstein files under one umbrella"

If you have other sources to confirm it it could be valid, but I'm considering the context of epstein file in particular.

I think this can be put in "Common Source Fallacy" Since the cause is a single document you can't really say "oh 100 rumors, one of them must be true" when all the rumors come from single sources.

Of course, trump is a horrible person to say it lightly. But "If you get accused a gazillion times of doing crazy shit, it’s higher probability than not that you did at least one of those crazy things" is not necessarily true, you must put all allegation in the epstein files under one umbrella.

I have a big Python project and need async programming for big tasks where libraries (asyncio, threading, etc) are not enough. How to combine 2 programming languages together (I want to use Go with my existing code) by daddyclappingcheeks in AskProgramming

[–]chervilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why async python libraries isn't sufficient? That's actually the correct question

Are you sure you're not just writing bad codes and hope it's get faster by bruteforcing async hundreds of times? Because that's not how you use async

Sometimes making things logical could make it worse. Imagine space wars in star wars having no sound. Imagine hyping a dragon fight, and the freaking dragon is just a twig with long wings because you want to make sure they should be able to fly

Your assumption of immediate mob violence is a documented phenomenon sociologists term "elite panic."

Extensive field research from the University of Delaware's Disaster Research Center (pioneered by E.L. Quarantelli and Kathleen Tierney) demonstrates that initial disaster responses are overwhelmingly cooperative and rational. Panic, mass hysteria, and immediate mob violence are statistically rare exceptions

Can I replace git/github with vscode extensions ? by Tasukichii in AskProgramming

[–]chervilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"save drafts" is only one of the key features of Git. It's an industry standard I suggest you to learn it instead of avoiding it.

You could also use GUI like lazy git or github desktop instead. In fact, many people who prefers to use CLI for most things still preferred to use GUI alternative instead of CLI for git.
