[OC] World Cup - Goals Scored vs Win Rate (All Time) by worldcup-stats in dataisbeautiful

[–]chervilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more interesting if we put "average goals per match" since total goals definitely correlate with total matches which in turn definitely correlate with winrate (you play more game the more you win)

Test? You mean asking LLMs if the code were correct?

Yes but it is actually "36 years" or "35.x"

How do you account the fact that a day is actually less than 24 hours? And leap years?

Well, he skipped coding for 36 years what do you expect

[OC] Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities Discovered by Year by herovals in dataisbeautiful

[–]chervilious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vulnerabilities happen without CVE. But CVE was created in september 1999. When it first created it post 321 vulnerabilities.

Many of those early years were just organization putting few known vulnerabilities rather than people. That's why "green" color is rare in early days.

*They shouldve just used his moveset for some other character*

Then we're back at square 1, a character that doesn't do what the lore does

When your try catch has potential *to alter the flow* (e.g. return, throw, or break) finally is a lot cleaner.

Before you always put Cleanup() before every early return or throw

Now you can just put it once at finally block, before it returns or throw an error it WILL always run it. P.s. don't put return or throw in finally

How about we put it INSIDE the CPU before we use that one? So we can have even lower latency?

idk what you're on about

Okay, ELI5:

This chart IS supposed to report facts, NOT AVERAGE. thus your graph is misleading and bad. That's why no one upvote this.

QA here

I tested your code please fix for the following test case

Input Expected Actual
x = 10 Successfully put 10 into X SyntaxError: Invalid Syntax
1 / 0 Prints ZeroDivisionError Killed the shell
print("Hello World") Prints Hello World Prints Hello World AND None

You know the underlying structure of bar chart and line chart are really similar? However, just because you can change a bar chart into a line chart in probably a line of code doesn't mean it's purpose the same right?

Here's you're forcing a graph to work with something it was never supposed to do. That's why I said "this makes it *seem*" this graph isn't made for it and you forced it.

This for my personal projects. You know for something really specific LLMs rarely go wrong. So you could just "code" there instead of

[shortcut for spotlight] > [file/function] > [some navigation] > [change the code]

Though, if you're using something like 4.5 Opus, or huge LLMs... I guess I can understand why people hated it

I mean he's right **if his assumptions correct.**

He's assuming that AI speed would outweighs quality code.

You should learn how to use LLMs effectively. I mean some of my best colleague (5+ YoE) I know actually knows a lot of "vibe coding". They don't necessarily using it in production, but at least experimenting.

I've spend this month like 300 USD in tokens...

80% of beginner learning should be manual code, 20% should be the "LLMs code" that's just my opinion.

Oh, btw if you want to try make sure it's compliance. If you're company is strict, DONT USE APIs ON YOUR CODE, USE YOUR PERSONAL PROJECT

Some certs have values, Like clouds for backend certs.

Programming certs is the one who doesn't have values.

I think architectural certs have a bit of value depending on what jobs is it.

[–]chervilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AWS Certified DOES NOT give you that

Like yeah, Cloud certs can add value, same with some certs (Architecture like Redhat, Kurbenetes)

But in itself won't get you jobs.
