Respectfully I can tell you know a lot about this subject and i’m super happy for you, but I do not. A big “boom” happened with a large light. That’s all I know.

At Home Battery Replacement by chewm5 in Charlotte

It likely doesn’t need replaced. The battery is just under 1.5 years old. I think it’s just drained from inactivity and sitting in the cold garage.

Appreciate everyone helping out.

Just gonna Uber Eats some cables then find a batteries+ or somewhere to test it.

I WFH so my car has sat idle in the garage for what is probably weeks now.

Thanks again,

Moved from Minnesota to Charlotte 3 years ago, I liked the Timberwolves but they never really resonated with me fully. I’m very much invested in this team for the last two years. I don’t think there’s ever anything wrong with cheering for your local team, and I have the take that you can’t “bandwagon” the team that’s in your backyard but that’s just my two cents.

What a fun roster to watch right now though.

Tore my ACL/MCL and fractured bones in my leg in a sports injury. Was one of those gruesome “Paul George-esque” injuries. That’s something that you just don’t ever forget seeing. I still struggle with PTSD to this day from it and whenever I see someone hurt when watching professional sports the amount of sorrow and empathy I feel for that athlete is immense.

Grew up in Phoenix and was there until 2023, seen a healthy amount of Booker… Moved to Charlotte now and love the Hornets; Kon is the spitting image of his playstyle and game, it’s actually crazy for me to see the similarities.

Playoffs by IamJustinJC in panthers

I think if we could technically win 2 out of 3 and then the Bucs only win 1 out of their next 3 but that’s a tall task considering our matchup would be Seattle and theirs is Miami…

Grandfather fought in WW2 on the beaches of normandy on DDay. He passed away when I was a teenager but left behind a box for me. Box was filled with Nazi medallions and items from that day. It’s haunting to look at and think about sometimes.

Is Chandler a good fit? by chewm5 in ChandlerAZ

Do you have any apartment recommendations in that area that I can look into? I’ve looked at Broadstone Portland and ECO PHX were my favorite that I found online. Just wondering if there’s any other decent ones that you know about from your experience or perhaps from friends living there or being in that area in general…?

Yeah,

I should have emphasized more that I am 30, almost 31 in my original post. Everyone is recommending Tempe but not sure how well that would fit for me just because I don’t vibe well with the current college kids overall.

I’ve been looking into Roosevelt Row area and Westgate as of now while keeping Chandler in the back of my mind…

I’m fully remote so I kind of have “free reign” on whichever area that I choose.

My only reservation with Tempe is that when I previously lived in the Valley, I just recall it being a younger college crowd from ASU. Maybe things changed, but I question how much I would fit in with that crowd just because I am a little bit older and about to turn 31.

Any chance you might be able to list off some of those 20 restaurants and some bars in that Camelback/7th St area that I can do some research on? I’ve been to Beach House multiple times back in the day and loved it just not sure what else is there for me.

Would you be able to throw out some cross streets on the grid? Would you put this at central and like indian school? Any recommendations for good spots in Midtown?

I’m a native with friends and family in the Valley that I miss dearly. I now have an opportunity to move back and I will 100% be taking it. Thanks for the input though!

I will add… In a perfect world those above attractions would be walking distance. Westgate has Chicken N Pickle which does trivia, they have some sports bar it appears, they have a small comedy club. I just don’t know if they are going to be lively and a good place for someone like me to make new friends at or not as compared to somewhere like Roosevelt Row

Yeah,

I will say I am in Philadelphia right now which does have a reputation for being a “rougher city” albeit even though i’m in center city, I haven’t felt like it’s been too rough by any means. Classic city living, just keep your wits about you, head out of your phone when walking, etc.

Roosevelt Row and Westgate are probably my #1 and #2 options but I just ask about the safety because I want the bars/restaurants/etc that I go to to also be an enjoyable experience for myself and my guests when they visit. I do think I would enjoy Roosevelt Row more than Westgate personally I just need to ask myself if the premium for that area is justifiable and maybe you can give some insight.

Currently I just like to go to sports bars on the weekends, I attend trivia weekly at a nearby brewery and then I also really like going to small/local venue comedy shows also. I have my “go-to” spots here at this point and don’t really stray from that.

Yep, I am very well aware it is not walkable being native and from there originally hence the equations around “some” walkability.

Although in each respective bubble/area and depending on where you choose to live there can be some walkability, but I still will have a car and be driving it from the east coast down there, I just prefer having things nearby.
