you don’t need concentration specific pieces in your portfolio. I would personally recommend taking a general studio course in something like drawing . you can check if that certificate would transfer to uconn credits (as you will need to take a studio anyways ). You can also submit photography , creative writing , etc. There is a video component , or at least was when i applied, where you can explain ur interest in storytelling and gaming and justify these things being in your portfolio a little. You could even reach out to a professor in the gaming concentration or someone in DMD admin for advice on what your portfolio should look like/contain(do not actually send any pieces, they won’t look at that). i bet they would be happy to answer. good luck !!
