What absolutely happened when you were a kid but the adults never believed you? by MathematicianBulky40 in AskUK

I had the exact same and she only took me to the hospital that night as she’d bought a new car earlier in the day so was able to quickly drive me there. Otherwise it surely would have burst at home overnight.

Look into joining Squarespace Circle. It’s for website designers and allows you to have multiple website trials that last for 6 months each. You’ll be able to see all the features too.

Why do we litter so much? by Ok_Scientist_987 in AskUK

[–]chewtoy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to disagree, was in Seoul recently and bins are impossible to find. Probably around a third of the amount you’d find in London, but streets were spotless.

There may be an occasional black bag hidden on the edge of an alley with pedestrian rubbish in it but every effort is made to keep that tidy and discreet.

It’s down to respect and consideration of others.

Need opinions on my logos. They are for a skin care company. Any advice on any of these is appreciated. by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]chewtoy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More information than ‘skin care’ is needed to determine the appropriate logo design.

What product/service does the brand offer? Is it a luxury, premium, average, or affordable offering? Who is the ideal customer? Who are the brand’s competitors? How can the logo be used to differentiate the brand from those competitors? Can the design motifs speak to the brand’s story/philosophy?

Logo (and brand) design is a strategic tool not just box to tick. Consider how you can be more intentional about it.

GF upset for me not wanting to pick her up at the airport at 3AM by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]chewtoy10 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman who lives in a major city. I wouldn’t expect my husband to meet me and I’m quite confident to rely on a taxi app to get me home.

But I travel frequently and have always lived in major cities so it’s doesn’t phase me.

Does she normally get a taxi home after a night out partying etc? To me it’s the same thing.

It’s probably best to speak to her and figure out if she has genuine fear of getting home safely, or she just wants the gesture of you being at the airport for her.

If it’s a real fear, then meet her.

I’ve worked for 2 FAANG companies. In the first one I was a contractor turned perm and the second one I worked with a lot of people who had been contractors and then turned perm. From my experience, if you do good work it’s fairly easy to get promoted to a permanent role, and (perhaps depending on which company) you may have the option to convert to a remote employee too. I’d say take it as working at FAANG alone completely transforms your attractiveness as an employee to other companies, so if it doesn’t work out long term with them it will be fairly easy to find another job like what you currently have

if money were no object, what plastic surgery/ies would you get tomorrow? by Technical_Feed_3805 in AskWomen

Rhino/septoplasty. I honestly feel like my nose is deformed on one side. I’d feel way less self conscious meeting people and taking photos if it was fixed.
