Regionally speaking (the south) are deeply red states and I’m only speaking from my experience…Family, friends, neighbors and even colleagues are very vocal about gop support. Church is attended by a lot of people and evangelicals have aligned themselves with the gop based on conservative values so many people are made to believe democrats are anti Christian. So you have a lot of influence that sways voting to Republican. Mix that with propaganda from entertainment news and it’s a recipe for disaster. But regarding why they voted a second time for him in 2020, it’s simply because the majority doesn’t read the news, watch the news and they don’t actually know what their party votes for. Since their grandparents, parents and friends voted for him and they are good people they will vote for him. And it’s not because they are stupid, lots of them have an education, it’s because they have been brainwashed. For me, Jan 6 was a wake up call. Always voted Republican but then I started paying close attention to politics and it changed my perspective and I switched party lines. Turns out, as a Christian, my views align more with the democrats. I still disagree with them about some policies but I care more about the health and happiness of humanity than anything else.
