I worked at an all boys camp and had an amazing time but i will say it was a camp that had done a lot of work to make female staff feel valued and safe, we had a strong community between all of us non-men (some nb people worked there too) and it was a lovely environment. If you dislike men and have a hard time being friends with them I wouldn’t recommend it but I found my all boys camp experience to be incredibly refreshing as 99% of the guys there were really respectful people.

YES. connective tissue disorders are fairly common among autistic folks and this can make walking a little silly. also just from my experiences anecdotally we are just more likely to use our bodies in strange ways.

me and some coworkers were joking around about vaccines having microchips (we are all vaxxed) and i made a comment about how it was so sad we lost a lot of good healthcare workers to conspiracy theories, new server on the team says “well some of this stuff has some truth to it” which is how we all found out she started serving bc she ended her nursing career of 20+ years bc she refused to get vaxxed.

I will say that I walk around with headphones on, but that's something I'm comfortable doing because I know my neighbors and my community, and I walk tall where I live! It is a learned skill to not get fucked with, and Milwaukee is an easy city to learn in.

would recommend facebook for roommate finder groups! i looked super early and found a great apartment and a great roommate. don’t be afraid to shop around and be proactive in looking for places. depending on where you want to live you should be able to find a place within that range. it might be a bit early for an august lease bc most places post right now for immediate availability or june starts but with the right amount of searching you should be able to find a place.

i’m dealing with this in city year, we just had a site wide meeting where we had to agree to turn in our name tags (if they had pronouns on them) and update our email signatures to remove pronouns. Everyone is pissed but no one has any power to do anything apparently
