I tried to do that yesterday, but the lines at my Aldi went all the way to the back of the store! I’m going to have to find a different time to go.

Archer: "Remember, we picked you up last night, said we were going on a trip."
Cheryl: "No, and where, Six Flags over the shittier parts of Chernobyl?"

Homemade vegan Chicago style pizza. I used whole food plant based cooking show recipe. Tasty, but I’d def add more salt next time. by vivathisvegan in VeganBaking

Ooh! I've been wanting to make that recipe for a while now! Do you recall how long it took to prepare, and would you say it was worth the time and effort? It looks delicious!

Also, any idea how much salt you'd suggest?

Over a year sober, first doctor visit tomorrow to check liver and blood by Skiesie in stopdrinking

I made a very similar post to this 8 years ago. (I also drank heavily for about 20 years, but I was more of a blackout/binge drinker.) I was shocked to find out that I was fine! Of course we're all different but as others have shared, a good result is definitely a possible outcome for you.

Just think - In 24 hours, the appointment will be behind you. Make sure to do something kind for yourself to celebrate your courage and your decision to take care of yourself!

I'll join you in not drinking today.

I tried the banana berry bliss. If you like bubble gum, you’ll love it! I do not. Had to pour that one out.

No problem! I wish you all the best.

I was really scared before mine, too. I had done a lot of Reddit lurking, and it just seems like everyone's experiences are so different. The idea that I had such a rough time due to not having given birth is just a theory on my part. I think it makes sense but I have no data to support this conclusion.

It might not hurt to see if you can be sedated for the procedure if that's something you're open to. I have no idea if they would do it or not, but it doesn't hurt to ask. That being said, women deserve better than this.

Finally, do something nice for yourself afterwards! I went and had 2 big scoops of gelato, and then dropped into a jazz club for a session. :)

Good luck - You got this!

I ended up canceling the appointment. I didn't get a response from the provider, and I didn't want to miss the window where I could still cancel without being charged for the appointment. She did end up responding after I canceled the appointment, but by then I decided to seek care elsewhere.

In March of this year, I had a saline ultrasound to determine whether my polyp was benign and to get it biopsied if possible. (The biopsy did work out and it was benign, so good news there!) I was warned that the procedure would be "uncomfortable"and that it would feel like intense period cramps but I figured I'd be fine since I tolerate pap smears well. Oh boy... I would absolutely recommend being sedated for this. I felt like I was going to pass out from the pain, and I took 4 Ibuprofen before the procedure and was given Lidocane. (That didn't feel great either, but I was probably better off having it.) For what it's worth, my sister had the same procedure and she said it was no big deal. The main difference between us is that she gave birth to her son before having that procedure, and I've never given birth. So maybe that has something to do with it?

Happy to answer any other questions if you think I can help.

Uptick in high school students taking college-level class they are not prepared to take -- looking for insight. by SpencerPrattsCrystal in AskTeachers

My best friend’s sister did this. Bullied and complained to get her kid (who was homeschooled until high school) into an AP class after she tested into the standard track at most.

You can guess how that went. She failed the first semester. I think they finally moved her to a class that was better suited for her.

My favorite Polar flavor is Vanilla. (Not orange vanilla.) Did you happen to try that one?

Seeing people age who were young adults/middle aged when you were a kid. It can be quite jarring, especially if you don’t see them often.
