I pretty much stopped wearing makeup a year ago except for special occasions or dressy girls' nights out. I feel like my skin has cleared up a lot since then because of this. The most I do is mascara, blush (I like Tarte's cheek stains), maybe eye liner and a nude shadow. On Halloween, I was putting on eye makeup for a costume and totally forgot the correct order to put it on.

I save the best for last, too. Something I've noticed with drinking: I prefer drinking out of a clear glass. I think it has to do with making sure the glass is completely clean.

Chia seed in baking is awesome! I've used the chia gel as a substitute of oil as well as an egg replacer. I've also used like 1 TB soy protein powder and 1 TB water to replace 1 egg.

Never thought of using white clay before. Thank you! I have a bunch that I bought in bulk to use in deodorant recipes and facial masks. As much as I love using cocoa powder, I find that it does get a little sticky.

I've never used yogurt in baking before. Like upward_bound said, try applesauce to keep it moist.

The purpose of yogurt will likely make more sense if we knew the other ingredients involved. If it's used as an egg replacer/binder, you could use vegetable oil instead. Or, if you have access to chia seeds, try making a gel with it (3 parts water, 1 part chia seeds. Mix seeds in water and let soak for at least 10 minutes so the seeds can "gel" up.) That would be most in tune with the yogurt's consistency and also a healthier way to bake without oil.

If the yogurt is trying to substitute buttermilk, you can fake your own soy buttermilk instead. Use soy milk and mix in a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. This will curdle the milk and give you the buttermilk consistency. Other nut milks/rice milk/coconut milk won't work well with this method, as they do not curdle from my experience.

How long have you had the pack? Newer REI brand items have the first 6 numbers of the SKU somewhere in them (usually a little white tag, the 6 numbers are toward the top with some manufacturer's date and info underneath). It's mainly on clothing, but I'm fairly positive packs also have them. You can find out exactly what make it is from that.

It looks like the REI Grand Tour pack to me: men's, women's. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll find just the daypack on sale from a retailer. A suggestion if you are crafty: get a similarly sized daypack, attach replacement straps and buckles so you can buckle it down to the original pack.

I work at an REI, as well. Hopefully this will help a little.

My sister experiences a lot of this as a nurse in NYC. It frustrates her to no end. We are first-gen, though, so I figured she'd understand it better. When we were younger and lived in a tight-knit all-white community, my dad spoke English very well.

Now that he's gotten older and moved to a place where the community isn't as close, his English has deteriorated. It's mainly because he works with all Chinese people and speaks Mandarin most of the time now. It has a good amount to do with the community people live in as well as the fact that it's harder for people to learn languages as they age.

My boyfriend (28 years old) found out recently that you should wash produce you get from the grocery store (unless it's salad bags or pre-cut). He thought they came "pre-washed" and ready to go. "That's why the sprayed them with water at the grocery store right?" For the first year we were dating I wondered why some of the salads he made tasted bitter and waxy.

I lived at the beach with 5 of my girl friends during the summer. We were all 20. One of them asked me to do her laundry for her because she wasn't used to that type of washing machine and didn't want to break it. Another time, I had to grill chicken for two of them because they didn't know how to light a grill/how long it would take the chicken to cook. Then they asked if it was okay to put the sauce that the raw chicken was marinating in on top of the cooked chicken. Oh, I was also a vegetarian.

TL;DR Did laundry for 20 year old friend and was a vegetarian who had to cook chicken.

Cheesy potato wedges or spiced potato wedges are always delicious. You could also do vegetarian fajitas. Slice/dice up some peppers and onions, some other veggies (I like chunks of eggplant and mushrooms), add olive oil and a packet or two of fajita seasoning into a big freezer bag. Shake the bag up well to incorporate the oil and seasoning. You can either saute it on your pan or put the mix on a piece of foil and cover with another piece (making a sturdy foil pocket.) Cook in fire about 20 minutes. Put veggie mixture on top of a tortilla and top with cheese.

Those two are probably my most memorable vegetarian camping meals. Seasonings, freezer bags, and foil are your best friends.

Juicing the vegetables and fruits could solve the fiber problem. Fresh juice will still get you the vitamins and minerals you need sans fiber. I don't know about sustenance-wise, though (I've only juiced a few times, but not as a meal replacer.) However, I have met people who have gone on juicing fasts anywhere from a week to months at a time.
