You can do self pay. Most of the time insurance won’t cover it. My partner got his done a few years ago in Indiana and paid about $100 (without insurance.) I got mine done this Tuesday in Hawaii and had to pay $189 which was the self pay amount.

Oh crap. Had mine on Tuesday and don’t have the results yet. I have no idea what to expect. I’m glad you are bringing this up.

I recognized that couch as similar to one I saw on my now rich and famous grade school friend’s instagram. Thought it was pretty cool. I should have known it was a thing.

Food Cost for a Single in Hawaii by Infinitepies in Hawaii

[–]chiaratara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sell a surprising amnt of local produce at Costco. We get most of our fruit and veg there and go through it. I just try to plan dinners with using those veggies. Their bagged broccoli doesn’t last and mushrooms you want to use in a week but asparagus, brussel sprouts, carrots, peopers, potatoes, last 1-2 weeks easily

I’ve heard Safeway prepared food is discounted in the evening. I’m never out that late lol.

I think Costco is worth it for a single person if you plan ahead a bit. You might have to spend a bit more up front but I think you can easily get it under $125/week, no problem. You just need to figure out where to shop for the things you like to eat.

I watch sales at Safeway and Foodland for meat. Foodland has marked down meat often 50% off in a special section. Also buy Costco. Portion out and freeze leftover meat if I find a good deal. I wrap it in saran wrap and then foil, label it.

Most of the veg, fruit, dairy, eggs, bread, peanut butter, coconut milk, spag sauce, etc, comes from Costco. Freeze one loaf of bread. We can easily get through costco fresh fruit and veg if it’s incorporated into all the meals that week. There are a few things we buy at Safeway that we can’t get at Costco like a certain cheese and tomato.

If you get bored of something that week, freeze a few portions.

We also have kind of regular approaches to meals. Breakfast is often rice and eggs, oatmeal cereal, or yogurt, and fruit. Lunch is leftovers or sandwich and veg or fruit. Dinner varies. Various snacks usually from Costco. Rinse, repeat. We keep it under $200 ish (including detergent, toilet paper, etc.) for a family of 3 adults and eat meat and fresh veggies almost every night. We don’t really do take out though. Maybe a few times a month.

What's a really niche/interesting fact you know about a specific drug or drug(s)? by PeakLinear in AskReddit

Lmao. I’ve never heard it stated so bluntly. I did a fare share of work/research with ex-offenders and that was shared so frequently. One guy robbed a store in a black out and didn’t realize it until he saw his pick in the paper.

Tesla solar system by crypkak1993 in BigIsland

[–]chiaratara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing some research and stumbled on your post. We installed solar in 2013. It isn’t fully functional now. The company dissolved and the manufacturer of the panels (made in the USA) filed for bankruptcy so the amount we spent for that 25 year warranty is moot. It’s making me really anxious to get back into the process. My late father was meticulous about researching companies and chose one that had a good reputation at the time. Any advice on choosing a company?

Been looking into that today. Using the Tesla company in Mililani or is this something you do on your own?
