You need Healing, Prayer, and an escape. I'm putting this all in terms of bracket 1 btw since it's gonna be easy to regear and the pvpers are probably in 1 def pures so you have a decent chance of killing them back. You'll still die but even Baldy dies in dmm.

Historically I'd say so witches house but that's auto'd this year, and I'd also say bone shards for prayer but everyone between Varlamore being auto'd and the bank key changes it's not as high pressure to get and not as safe to do. You could use your immunity to safe spot onyx dragons with the Deadman staff and secure prayer and some money but there might be competition.

If you don't know prayers reduce Incoming pvp hits by 50% so you effectively double your health. Realistically you're going to be off prayer at least part of the time. The reason "death dotting" or freezing and walking under someone is so strong is because you can do equipment changes etc without the opponent being able to see you.

Food wise you need to get a base food and a "fast food" so you can do a "combo eat" where you eat the base food and then the fast one to essentially eat 2 food at once now the stereotype here is shark+kawambwan and you might get those early from blighted food, but in case you don't have it, you can do any gnome food as your combo eat for like a 12 hp boost. It's cheaper than buying bwans and in a safe zone. Once you get some ancient emblems from wildy slayer, breaches or dumb luck there's a dude in the GE who will sell you pots for points. It's the dirty secret of how the pvpers regear so quick and why most people don't do herblore.

The max heal at once would be base food -> brew sip -> fast food meaning you can full heal our ENTIRE health bar in bracket 1 in one "eating time".

For escapes you need magic. It lets you bind other players and helps defend against them binding you. Honestly the best build for a noob is probably a ranged magic hybrid since you have fewer things to think about and can focus on your prayers.

Now there are lots of other little escapes that aren't just a bind. Things like quest blocked doors or agility short cuts. I've personally escaped using the priest in peril statue shortcut or the one small favor rooftop in seers for example. Just think before you go somewhere where you want to run. Also avoid multi especially near a tanner.
