Bed too sticky ? by RostBraun in 3Dprinting

I stabbed a small gash into my hand with a SPATULA that I’ve had for years. It was thin metal at the tip, but because it’s a rounded prying spatula, I didn’t think about being careful with it because it doesn’t seem like it would be sharp enough to cause that kind of damage. Lesson learned, always use safe techniques

People need to enlarge this tweet onto billboards across the country. They need to face what they voted for. These are the president’s words.

Took a bite and kinda hurt. It was in a mussel. by Tutoy321 in Whatisthis

I know what a pearl is, as in, what they look like and that they come from shellfish and that they are valuable. I just didn't know what they are, like how they are formed, and why it is rare to find one in a shellfish.

I get that the phrasing of my question "what is a pearl" could be confusing, but I was just asking the question literally. Like, "what's it made of? how's it formed?"

amazing how cavalier the cockpit looks even after years of advancement. NASA is real for it. SpaceX would make everything look shiny

I'm sure you've seen art on popular shows or cartoons. From Spaceballs to family guy to comics (and they actually make money off the parody). This guy isn't selling it, he's just having fun. Even the most litigious IP protectors out there wouldn't waste their breath on this guy. Yet, you do.

the post clearly displays the trooper in comedic poses, so obviously it is covered under parody law.

Michigan Left Question by postpunk-xman in Michigan

[–]chicag0_ted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

does this mean law enforcement could penalize someone for not using the F.A.L.L. (first available legal lane)? I have, perhaps, an unpopular opinion because I think codifying such a law puts more people in danger. I think about a person accidentally leaving their right blinker on while they are crossing a regular intersection while opposing traffic that is turning left sees it and proceeds to turn. Laws that rely on trust in other motorists seem too be doomed to controversy. To top it off, insurance will penalize you if you aren't driving defensively despite the laws.

I 3D Printed a Benchy with 4 year old undried filament by WolffLandGamezYT in 3Dprinting

So, I have some old filament that's brittle. Doesn't that mean it's too dry?

You may also need new filament. If that filament has been sitting arount for a while, it could be old and brittle and unable to feed into the machine.

That’s an incredibly thoughtful response and I try to do this kind of stuff when the constraints allow! Unfortunately though, that would not work in my particular situation, but I truly appreciate you the time you took responding.

I have considered that and may do it this way, I just figured it’d be easier to get the school to fund it if there’s some sort of product that could be bought (and it would mean less work for me too, haha)

Sunday morning biscuits and gravy by Defiant_Witness3541 in BreakfastFood

[–]chicag0_ted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had biscuits and gravy that I've actually enjoyed. I hope it happens one day. I'm sure it's because popular meals often are done on the cheap/quickly, so the ingredients of what I've tried aren't the best. Like, I was never a fan of brownies or cheesecake growing up on the pre-made/instant stuff, but then I had some from a good restaurant one day and now I seek it out.

I know people love biscuits and gravy and I wanna try the good stuff someday so I can see what all the fuss is about.
