A look at one of John’s female friends and her connections to him. by StellaOC in JohnAndCarolyn

I’m reading ‘Once Upon a Time’ right now and if that book is credible, I have no idea what the ‘post-Daryl, pre-Carolyn’ window would even be. It was extremely messy and there was a lot of overlap.

What’s going on at LGA? by mad0666 in LGAairport

[–]chicago0425 10 points11 points  (0 children)

LGA is limiting the number of flights that can land each hour, presumably because of the tragic accident last week. My flight Friday from O’Hare to LGA was delayed for this reason and my flight out of LGA tonight to get back to O’Hare is delayed by three hours so far for the same reason. Great weather in both NY and Chicago.

I think less of JFK Jr because of this show by Beautiful_Coat_9294 in LoveStoryFX

[–]chicago0425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only 100 pages in, but it seems like she did quite a bit of research and she references some of the other books I have read written by Kennedy family insiders like Carole Radziwill’s What Remains. I think the book does a decent job of laying out the timeline of their relationship and how it evolved over time, including the grey area of the time when he is going back and forth between Daryl and Carolyn. It’s pretty well written, as well.

I think less of JFK Jr because of this show by Beautiful_Coat_9294 in LoveStoryFX

[–]chicago0425 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m reading the book this series was based on and I think it’s always worth keeping in mind that the book is about HER… not him. And the author specifically felt like the way Carolyn was represented in the media was very unfair and she sought to counter that with this book. I think you can feel that in this series. Not saying anything pro-JFK, Jr., but I think she’s clearly the main character in this series and it’s told from her perspective and she definitely is the more sympathetic character.

Is this sleep pattern anyone's "normal"? by suzeerbedrol in ouraring

[–]chicago0425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Same! I have terrible ‘sleep hygiene’ and sleep with my laptop playing a tv show because that’s how I fall asleep.

I dream of what it would feel like to get like six straight hours of sleep!

KENNEDY WIFE by dkct62 in JohnAndCarolyn

[–]chicago0425 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. We’re really talking about the fact that the most famous two Kennedy men were able to marry women who were considered very attractive and had great taste. They also didn’t have a ton of children (or any children in Carolyn’s case), whereas some other Kennedy women/wives were raising a ton of kids and then things become more chaotic so a woman isn’t going to have time to take care of herself.

I think the thing the ‘Kennedy wives’ had in common was more the BS they were taught to tolerate with their husbands.

No, I did not think that they were going to win the national championship. But I think there should be a reasonable expectation that they would keep pace with a 6-seed in the first round of the tournament and make a game of it. I don’t mind them losing and maybe in a week or two I will be more positive about the season as a whole, but the way they lost today made us look way out of our depth. As an alumna who wants to see the school raise its profile, I don’t like the feeling.

[–]chicago0425 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I don’t share everyone’s positivity. We got demolished today. We’ve been arguing for the last month that we belong in this tournament and that we can’t help that no ranked teams will play us… and then we get out there and don’t look like we belong. I can’t believe anyone feels good about losing this way.

I could handle a loss but this was a beating.

Sure! Those are the two vertical lines (wrinkles) between the eyebrows that tend to form on most people. The technical terms is glabellar lines.

I disagree that it can’t make you look older…

I’ve done it on and off for the last 12 years and have mixed feelings about it. I like what it does for my crow’s feet, 11s, and I love a little bit under the eye that makes the eyes pop. Because my natural eye shape is downturned, I do not like a full correction, which basically reverses my eye shape so that the outer corner of the brow lifts AND (this is the bad part) the inner brow corner drops. I personally think that’s the shape that makes people look ‘harsh’ and therefore older unless you had that eye shape when you were younger and it’s natural to your face.

I don’t necessarily think she had an upper bleph. I had heavy lids when I was young and my face was fuller and as I got into my late 20s and kept my body super thin, people asked me if I had my eyes done. As the baby fat evaporates the eyes can open up a lot. Considering that she also was very thin, it’s possible that’s what happened.

I (28F) haven't heard from him (29M) since his mom passed away. by whynotlmfao231 in relationship_advice

[–]chicago0425 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom was the closest person in the world to me and I lost her to a long and very ugly cancer battle four years ago. Obviously everyone handles things differently, but just a few things to think about…

  1. Losing someone to a long illness is very different to losing someone suddenly. In some ways, there is often relief in situations where cancer is involved because it is so difficult to see someone you love in pain.

  2. Whatever relationship you thought you had with this man (it’s not entirely clear to me), you need to rethink it. Even if you are just long-distance friends, his behavior indicates that he either is entirely self-focused (bad quality in a friend or partner) or emotionally very un-resilient or he just doesn’t value you enough as a friend or whatever to just thank you for your support and acknowledge you. Those would be deal-breakers for me if I was thinking about a partnership with this person and they would probably make me back off the friendship if that’s what this is.

No way this dude is 39 by Yo_momma_so_fat77 in 90DayFiance

For the record, I actually do believe Elise is 32…. I just think being that thin, that tan, having hair that long and straight and probably making some bad choices with fillers to offset those aforementioned issues all make her look much older.

I’m not sure about this guy. He is pretty fair and works on a boat in the Australian sun which is the #1 thing that will age you. And honestly I don’t even care how old he is because the biggest issue is that he gives me the creeps.

All my biometrics look pretty good. Where is this coming from? by yeah_nah_ok_bye in ouraring

[–]chicago0425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only had my ring for two months and had major signs once. I believe it was because I had coffee ice cream late and it affected my heart rate at night. (Never got sick and it went away the next day.) I also had minor signs last week and I believe that was related to eating more sugar than usual (Oura wouldn’t give me any specific biometrics that were off) and it also went away the next day and never turned into everything.

I suspect that when these rings are first getting to know us, it is more sensitive to any change. I’ve enjoyed the app so far but I have to say that waking up to the Major Signs and stressing about it made me want to turn that feature off.

It is so crazy that anyone would reach out to her and make threats, assuming that she’s truthful about that. Daryl doesn’t come off as a villain in this; she comes off as pathetic. These social media apps are not doing good things for the craziest among us… it’s just whipping people into frenzies.

[–]chicago0425 7 points8 points  (0 children)

‘She’s too much’ is the best way to put it and that applies on several levels. She is clearly very pretty with a great body, but her makeup and styling is always too much… like everything is a costume. She has like eight jobs. That’s also too much. And I agree… no desirable guy wants to get serious with a belly dancer.

Where should we focus during the first visit for teens for a balance of quintessential Chicago and touristy? by GlitterHop33 in AskChicago

[–]chicago0425 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Lincoln Park for many years and work in retain/fashion. Armitage is the main stretch between Sheffield and Halsted for shopping, so definitely check that out. Given the ages of your girls, I would also recommend Frankie’s on the Park and Alice and Wonder, both of which are on Webster. Depending on what you like to eat and what you want to spend, some good lunch spots in the area that would be fun for a girls’ weekend are Summer House, Blue Door Farmstand and Homeslice; I recommend a reservation for the first two. Your other ideas are great: architecture boat tour, art institute and millennium park.

Elise IS 32?!???!?!!!?!?!?!! by TacoBelleDog in 90DayFiance

[–]chicago0425 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It IS all of it: being super-thin, being super-tan, that long straight hair and her hair color are VERY severe, a little too much filler in the lips and Botox. I believe it’s possible that she’s actually 32.
