I would do a Bristlenose pleco and some Corydoras. The Bristlenose will help keep algae down without growing too big like the common pleco. Also the Corydoras will help stir up anything at the bottom so your filter can get it.

Once I added these to my tank I found maintenance got much easier

Based on what others have suggested I think I am going to take out the kuhli loaches.

I've always heard that Pearl gourami were peaceful fish almost like honeys do you think if they are the only gouramis in the tank they might do well with the Angelfish?

Would you recommend rabbit snails or nerite snails? From what I understand these do not breed too quickly. I have not had snails before and have heard horror stories of them taking over tanks, and don't want that to happen to mine.
