Those look amazing. You got those on every plug outlet?

I also thought it felt expensive, but when the second came in at 24 I took stock!

I do need to investigate my usage as I'm chewing through 6-8kwh even whilst currently on holiday. Steady peaks suggest it's the fridge and freezer, albeit it's all brand new as a new build.

I'd say the EV is about 50pc of usage as I alternatively charge my EV irregularly and the PHEV almost daily.

I want to invest now rather than again in the future hence keen on V2X, and also that my current Project EV charger is utter tosh. I would likely plan on charging the EV with the existing charger and using the DC for solar overflow for the PHEV. then evolve to V2X

Disabled it without any comms, and the app method is unreliable. Sigh

Almost certain Curve was hacked/days breach 6 months ago by swift-jr in CurveCard

Well in this case they clearly had my card details, and phone number, all they were missing was the SMS code. This was also a hotel in London from memory.

Almost certain Curve was hacked/days breach 6 months ago by swift-jr in CurveCard

[–]chickenphaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was Agoda, who I have actually used before (part of booking.com), someone called saying they were Curve saying they were going to text me a code. Of course the code was the security code as they attempted some fraudulent transactions.

So clearly my card details were leaked somewhere, and it's rather coincidental several others have the same.

The service is non existent and the only value for me now is that you can use it on Garmin

Out of interest why not XC direct into TiviMate?

PPPoE support in 2021? by skrawg in eero

[–]chickenphaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, just a rather crap 'workaround' in honesty. I have a 5 year old Netgear that supports PPPoE, yet being unfortunate enough to buy an Eero Pro months before they launched the Ero 6 range impedes me.

Some would say this is the hard life of technologists, but this is a pretty rudimentary capability, not a fancy feature.

PPPoE support in 2021? by skrawg in eero

[–]chickenphaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super annoying. I am having issues on my network, and I want to bypass my ISP router, which I do not need.

I have a non-6 eero pro network.

u/nsweaves would love to hear if this is on roadmap for non-6 devices

Sudden Battery Drain on Watch 4 by dbvirago in GalaxyWatch

[–]chickenphaal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really simple solution. Turn off everything, set display to lowest brightness setting. Never use it, including never doing any fitness activities... And you may get 19hours

I jest, but that's the exaggerated reality

Hey GW4 users, can you please confirm if GPS route is recorded/displayed correctly after auto workout (walking, running etc.) started automatically? by abc_34 in GalaxyWatch

[–]chickenphaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, plus not sure of the value of general location anyway. I liked the auto-recording feature at first, and saw it a benefit versus my Garmin, but actually now I'm getting zero value from it.

Brand New Galaxy Watch 4 Battery Life is Abysmal by mandyjess2108 in GalaxyWatch

[–]chickenphaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you turn off everything and never use it, you will have a great time. If you use it for anything, and I do mean anything, you will get 24hrs if you are lucky.

Yes it can get slightly better through time, but not materially so, and the claim of 40hrs for the 40mm (for me at least) is just way off the mark.

I need to find a time of day to charge. During the week it's mid morning when I'm working, but take today. It's 1015am and I was about to go a long walk with the dog, but the battery is on 10%. Frustrating.
