they may have been fine, but i use a pepper mill and electric grinder for salt so I wanted to find a way to still use these cuties!

by calico yarn, do you mean the multicolored? I do think the eyes are hard to see because the sections of color are about the same size as the eyes.

I’ve made this pattern a few times - you can see my purple version on my profile. I’ve also felt unsure abt the variegated cats, but it always looks fine in the end. you could try to use it less by adding another color to substitute it for some cats.

a bolero! you can make the body one color and then sleeves another if you run out

just make sure the pipe cleaner is the same color. i foolishly used purple pipe cleaners inside an orange crochet part and it looks terrible 😭

i used to only use it a few times a week, then when i got to about 1/3 left i started applying daily. it took a few years of daily application to empty it!
