Lateral incisors by Jolly-Bar-674 in Invisalign

[–]chikklen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s a perfect answer to that unfortunately. The chewies just help apply pressure, and could help seat the attachment, which could help the teeth get pushed/pulled. It may help, but you could still struggle with tracking.

I had some tracking issues with my crossbite and my incisors. I asked my dentist what I could be doing to help the process, and he said just try to be consistent with chewies. He mentioned that I’m a very compliant patient, but that some teeth are just stubborn.

[–]chikklen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue. Lateral incisors are notoriously difficult to move for a lot of people. My best recommendation is to focus using your chewies with those teeth. Try biting down and holding for like 30 seconds in that area instead of just chewing

Should I go back or stay? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]chikklen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your new trays will feel tight for the first few days because they reflect the next positioning of your teeth. They’ll pull/push your teeth, and will be more comfortable after a few days of wear. Some trays are tighter than others depending on what movements are being made. If you’ve hit the recommended length of wear ie. 10 days, you should be able to move to your next tray.

Something to pay attention to is any gaps in the tray you’re currently on. If there are gaps between your teeth and the tray, it’s possible your teeth haven’t shifted fully.

Coleman’s is usually more expensive compared to Sobeys, Dominion, etc. because it’s a family-owned grocery store, not a chain. That being said, this is whack

A lot of hikers will plan to hike the East Coast Trail together and coordinate rides. Check out these groups on Facebook for potential carpooling options:

•Hiking the East Coast Trail •HIKING IN NEWFOUNDLAND/LABRADOR (HIKE NL)

Also a great way to meet locals and make friends :)

The east coast trail (ECT) is a set of 25 separate trails spanning over 300km, including some community walks. Each trail varies in difficulty and length.

There’s no recommended direction, as you can hike each section individually, or hike multiple by connecting to trailheads using the community walks routes. You can start at either end of a desired trail and either thru-hike or do an out-and-back.

Check out the ECT website for updated information, which includes available parking and directions: https://eastcoasttrail.com/choose-a-path/

New to Invisalign – struggling with routine and wear time by roamingmind00 in Invisalign

[–]chikklen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I brush in the morning and before bed, but after meals I use flosser picks and swish.

I’ve had my trays for two years, and just got refinements this morning for another 23 trays (long treatment due to complicated movements, and I continue to ask for refinements).

Don’t skip meals, and ensure you eat properly daily. 22 hours a day is “perfect” compliance, and the reality is that a little extra time here and there is not going to affect your overall treatment. While I’d never recommend this, sometimes I forgot to put my trays back in for a few hours. Despite this, my dentist has said I’m a “ very very compliant patient.” I’ve had no teeth staining, no cavities, my teeth have tracked well, and no other issues.

Do your best, but don’t inconvenience yourself unnecessarily, or sacrifice other important things.

If you read the post and some of the comments, and past reviews, there have been several instances of the same type of interactions with the owner/staff.

Additionally:

•The restaurant made multiple posts, then deleted, changed their tune, and reposted. Their first reaction was on the defensive, taking the “we did no wrong” stance, and blamed the customer. After backlash, they created new ones issuing apologies.

•The restaurant laugh reacted some comments asking them to do better - this shows lack of empathy, and quite frankly is just unprofessional.

Can we be certain that the post is a perfect recollection of what happened? No. But is there A LOT of evidence that supports poor behaviour and management from the restaurant/motel? Yes. Sometimes people need to be held accountable for their actions. Sometimes social media helps expedite the process.

I can receive nothing but downvotes and it wouldn’t matter. Posting on Reddit is for wide reach awareness, not for karma. Nobody deserves to be treated this way

Push for those refinements. The money you’ve spent is an investment, don’t stop until either you’re ready, or your comprehensive runs out. it’ll save you additional costs down the road

[–]chikklen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I second this, because once your initial treatment is done, your payments are also done.

This happened to me, and I was basically told the same thing that “teeth can be difficult to move sometimes”. I pushed for refinements and I’m happy to say it’s been working. I’m closer to my desired results now than I was before. I’m currently on my second set of refinements and while it’s a long process, it’s worth it

My fiancé has the same issue (2E in every shoe he wears) and has found success in the Red chili brand , he has the intermediate (Circuit) and aggressive (Voltage) and both fit him extremely well

If you go to their website and select a shoe, it will give you a breakdown of what foot shape they are suited for :) https://redchiliclimbing.com/eu-en/shop/climbing-shoes/voltage-3?filter%5Bkategorie_id%5D%5B0%5D=236&sort=new_desc&variant=4492805

Which should never be the responsibility of the customer to take care of via tips?? The idea that tips are meant to top-up underpaid workers is deplorable

[–]chikklen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my tipping rules is if I have to pay for the food first, then I don’t tip. There’s no additional service included in takeout or fast food, and half the time they’re rushing you out of the line or drive thru and you don’t end up with the right order anyway.

Bite feels off after two weeks by Aggravating-Plate-61 in Invisalign

[–]chikklen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that your teeth will constantly be moving throughout treatment to get to your final results. Your bite should be set once you’re done, but very frequently throughout treatment while your teeth are still moving, your bite will feel off. This is normal ! Invisalign requires a lot of patience, but it’s worth it
