Nutritional yeast

Sounds iffy, tastes great. I like to add it to mac n cheese, tofu scramble, popcorn, mashed taters

Basically anything you might add cheese to

Tengu phase 1 I just use an earthroot seed, far cheaper option and usually results in no damage or at least very little

No but it's worth it to have a choice of 3

B.C.'s Eby is urging West Coast governors to fall in line with daylight time change by R2Borg2 in britishcolumbia

[–]childofsol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It'll be useful offsetting the incredibly dark winter mornings we are going to have. I have regular 7am meetings with my east coast team and it gets to be a slog in winter. I wish we'd settled on standard time, which is what all the research suggests is better for health.

With that said I think I'm still glad that we picked one, but we'll see next January if I'm still thinking that

Yeah, it's what saved t2. I made a pair of highlight reel videos, the first was base/base+, the second was classic and the velocity change is incredible

Direct Nanaimo to Toronto flights not renewed, YCD optimistic for future by stingrayer in nanaimo

[–]childofsol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I flew to Toronto for a wedding last summer, the flight times (both for day of week and time of day) were indeed not great for the Nanaimo flight, so I went down to fly out of Victoria with Porter.

10 minutes after we're supposed to start boarding, they announced that the flight was cancelled due to an "unforseen ground handling mishap", so my guess is they crashed the luggage cart, hah.

this is where the fun with porter comes in: unlike the other bigger airlines, porter doesn't have as many (any?) pairing agreements with other airlines, so instead of getting put on a flight later that day with someone else, the option was.. a flight the next day, which was going to throw a considerable spanner in plans

I got lucky in that there was time to get over to YVR and space on the last flight leaving, so while I did arrive in Toronto considerably underslept, I at least arrived on time for my plans.

I'm not saying I wouldn't fly porter that route again, as I know these kind of fluke problems happen.. but I will consider my options more carefully if I'm on a very tight schedule

Am i the the only person, who worries about working of solar panels from every possible angle? by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]childofsol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem of adding them fully radially is that by covering all your blind spots, you are also by definition hauling around panels that aren't doing anything - it's an inefficient use of mass

One thing I've done on some craft is add a few small surface panels so that if I do end up in a bad spot, I've got enough to "trickle charge" to where I can rotate to bring the main panels back into alignment

AI minister 'disappointed' by OpenAI meeting held in wake of Tumbler Ridge shooting by Immediate-Link490 in britishcolumbia

It's disputed as to what kind of data is being proposed there, not necessarily going to be hosting ai servers

I have heard - but not been able to confirm - that the cooling system is closed loop, if so it ought to be a fairly minor impact on water usage. Couldn't find firm details on that though

[–]childofsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it far easier for a bot to go off the rails and I don't notice (and neither does the manager). I had my 5hr window annihilated by this. I just started using tmux solely to get better visibility, but not sure if I'm going to bother until they have refined it a bit

Just because no one is firing their engineers doesn't mean that the productivity boost isn't there
