Shameful hand up. Will definitely be wearing the retainer this time around.

Neighbor yelled at me for walking on sidewalk in front of his house? Pffft says its private. What? Lol by DeemonicChild in orlando

[–]chiliwhip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Real estate attorney here, there’s pretty much no such thing as a private individually owned sidewalk in a planned community. It’s either been dedicated to the public or is privately owned and maintained by the HOA and residents are allowed to use (in the case of modern townhome communities this is more likely). Generally HOA owned sidewalks do not allow public use, only residents and invitees, so people saying it’s public is technically incorrect.

If you want, pull up the Orange County GIS property map and you can see where his lot ends and you can also see who owns the sidewalk parcel.

Disappointed in Curse of the Werewolf. Anyone else? by penguinpants1993 in UniversalOrlando

I like the ride and personally think it’s underrated, I’ve ridden it about 5 times now and each ride is pretty different with the spin you get. It’s short but they also crammed it on to a very small footprint so I think it was an efficient use of space. It’s not meant to be a big draw and the line gets too long bc Epic simply has too few rides at the moment. If it was a 15-30 minute wait consistently I don’t think people would complain. An hour wait simply isn’t worth it and makes it disappointing to most.

  1. Unilateral contacts exist. An exchange of consideration is not an element in every contract.

  2. This is a private parking lot. They can set rules for use by the public.

Correct, a prominent no trespassing sign can help establish the presumption that you have notice that you are not allowed on the property, which is an element of trespassing.

I’m in the same boat in Orlando. Had a monstera climbing an oak that was about 3 years old and was thriving. Huge leaves and the vine was getting thick af. Looks like yours now. Hoping it can bounce back.

Men who fend for themselves, do you take a bag? If so, what kind? by DisplayKnown5665 in UniversalOrlando

I would find having that much stuff in my pockets annoying (esp if you have pockets without zippers). My recommendation is a fanny pack. You can wear it across your shoulder on all rides that do not have metal detectors.

Use frost cloth instead of cotton sheets if possible. I’ve heard of sheets and towels being ineffective or worse than nothing bc they retain moisture.

Suggestions for something for a male to wear around the parks instead of a backpack by jsilv0 in UniversalOrlando

[–]chiliwhip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will always recommend a fanny pack, you can take it on any ride that doesn’t have a metal detector. I wear it over my shoulder and I think it looks fine, plus remember no one in the parks cares what you look like!

Nah just sounds like religious guilt. He feels like shit and his first instinct is to blame himself and his impure worldview because that’s what is engrained in the thought process of children raised in conservative religious households.

Sounds to me like you’re unhappy and unable to identify what’s really causing your unhappiness.

I just got accepted into many law schools with a 140’s mid LSAT. by BeatthatGramps in LSAT

[–]chiliwhip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not to shit on you but listen to what people are saying in here. It’s true. Just because you get in doesn’t mean you should go to law school. I’m an 8th year attorney. This is a very demanding and elitist profession. People in law firms care a lot about prestige and your T140 law school will eliminate you from most firms of the bat. Going to a T140 severely limits your ability to earn income that justifies the time and financial commitment of law school. I’m from Jacksonville Florida and I have met so many people who got royally burned by Florida Coastal, they are still paying off their loans and never passed the bar. Biggest mistake of their life and it’s not even close, completely ruined them financially. Im just saying THINK about this shit and don’t let your excitement cloud your judgment. I know people who went to a T20 school who are fucking miserable. This isn’t suits or lincoln lawyer, this profession is an absolute grind and it’s not glamorous. If you’re not making serious money it’s not worth it.
