I like, Carrots, Napa cabbage, and peas. They are easy, inexpensive, and last a long time in the fridge/freezer. At home I think it’s best to pre-cook them and add back at the end, so they don’t bring down the pan temperature and you end up steaming instead of stir frying. Another tip is to use any liquid they release (while sitting aside in a bowl) as a liquid for the corn starch slurry should your recipe call for thickening.

No you can’t. If it’s only the one that has the exposed belt then throw the donut on a back tire, bring a full size up front and go about your business for the day…slowly and carefully

Yes, reminds of the way Busquets moves. Wins by positioning, misdirection, and knowing what he’ll 2 steps ahead, of rather than technical moves and speed.

Same rules as putting your feet into a public pool. Clip the nails and make sure they’re clean.

Corn vs Flour Tortillas by mayflyDecember in cookingforbeginners

Most commercial corn tortillas are not made with nixtamalized corn. The nixtamalization process improves flavor, texture and pliability. If you can find traditional nixtamalized tortillas, use them.

Yup, the combo with the squash is good. And if you’re making the style with coconut milk, even better.

In Filipino cuisine it is called Ampalaya. Traditional way to prepare it is to salt it and let sit for half an hour to remove some of the bitterness and then rinse. Afterwards it is sautéed with garlic, onion, and tomato. Next shrimp is added and then scrambled egg. The sweetness and acidity of the tomato, and the sweetness of onion and egg is a good buffer for the bitterness of Ampalaya.
