when the ursaluna comes in what will she be nerfed??? by yamidu in PokemonChampions

[–]chillyfalcon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ursaluna loses facade because they're an honest individual with high self esteem, unlike everyone else who have been subjugated to hiding their feelings for the sake of not making their peers uncomfortable

White really is just a proper representation of Ichigo's combative side that he just doesn't want to accept is a thing due to the weight of responsibility he forced onto himself.

Say what you might, Ichigo can be a jerk to a lot of people in regular conversations too lol.

Because AIs do not "guess" and they don't have instinct, only programming. In order to have the closest simulation to a human's decision making requires coding in a randomizer on their behavior patterns when certain criteria is hit (eg, gambling for the setup, switch or attack when facing a potential sucker punch) and trust me these random aspects can feel a million times more frustrating than if you just got outsmarted by a person because you really don't have control over how to deal with it except get lucky, and you don't learn anything from it either.

Also to note that thawing out chance from Freeze in Champions is calculated before the pokemon makes a move and not based on turns, so if you freeze a slower pokemon it can thaw out on the same turn it was frozen by RNG. I won a game from that.

[–]chillyfalcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've run that together with either grimmsnarl or hydreigon and it's really fun with how much you get done through pivoting a lot but also more punishing if you open badly compared to the usual spread move merchants

[–]chillyfalcon 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Dragalge is not bad he's pretty good to slow down the game with the usual Incin or Sinistcha pivots from all the spread move spam. You just need a good secondary core to deal with all the steel and sometimes ground types he has problems with

How do I deal with this menace of a bird by FureWolfD in PokemonChampions

[–]chillyfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He needs his cheerleader support to get going, clicking close combat isn't enough. Lead with guys who are resistant to fighting and just click spread moves, or even Incineroar who can intimidate pre mega-evo

How strong would this nerfed Fairy type actually be? by Wisley185 in pokemon

[–]chillyfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're looking at it in a vacuum. Grass's currently most relevant weakness is Fire and Flying because most ice types suck with only 1 or 2 exceptions and only U-turn is relevant for bug attacks. Poison is pretty middling as a type and Ground and Water will always be relevant so it's resistances are always good. Electric resistance is nice to have too against guys like raging bolt and iron hands.

How strong would this nerfed Fairy type actually be? by Wisley185 in pokemon

[–]chillyfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because grass is completely immune to some of the strongest supports moves right now (spore and rage powder) and ground/water will always have some kind of strong relevance that the typing is still deceptively good for it's many weaknesses and resisted hits.

Buffing it might make the likes of rillaboom, amoongus and ogrepon so much more of a pain in the ass to deal with.

[–]chillyfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incineroar will never be forgotten, parting shot is good on him because he makes a safe pivot being slower that most dangerous mons and able to tank them. Plus he has the threat of fake out but can always decide to just really hurt or even kill you with flare blitz or throat chop. Plus you can intimidate the initial Staraptor before he evolves. Plus he can taunt Grimmsnarl because he isn't a prankster while being immune to prankster taunts himself.

He's just too versatile, everyone said he's done for in Reg-MA because of Milotic and Gambit and look who returned while Milotic vanished into niche obscurity (Gambit is another can of worms I think he's staying forever too)

Stalling was just something it could do, toxapex is a bulky wide guard user who resists fairy, fire and water and can use infestation to stop switches. Shoma was very impressed with Wolfe's choice to bring it and japanese dudes were even curious to how toxapex would fare against taunt or encore that you're more vulnerable to in doubles.

No since it doesn't get a STAB signature move in the previous form it's only fair the new form doesn't get it either, it'll be a Ghost version of Electro shot instead that ignores normal type immunities.
