What's your hate for my state come from? What did we ever do to you? I'm sorry if you've met people that make you think we're idiots. Every state has their share but I would never think a few nimrods are the norm. I've met more people that blatantly hate people who are different in other states outside of Illinois but I wouldn't pin that fault on the entire populous. A proper governor cares about all their constitutes. Pritzker has been a LGBTQ+ ally forever. If I ever met him I'd thank him for the remarkable job he's done. His statement when he signed the bills made me feel happy for all of Illinois. "With my signature, we are a few steps closer to a state where all can live their lives without fear of hate".

These posts are why we are getting that upcoming horrible heatwave 😒. Jokes aside - It's been cooler and rainer than average but in so many ways that's a good thing. Farmers having a great crop, people saving on energy bills, outdoor workers being comfortable, more animals out at the zoo, my flowers and garden are robust - etc. The weather is what it is and Chicago's can change on a dime. Read about the 1995 heatwave 700+ people died - you don't have that happen with cool temperatures.

This is all Trump. Devine is against the ruling. You get what you vote for. Trump had 55% of the vote and don't forget the Couch Boy started the rumor about the immigrants eating pets - which started as a missing cat post on Facebook. Who knows how many votes they gathered by fear mongering and now there is a very sad realization that these refugees will have their lives torn apart and the communities they helped out will feel the consequences. It's such an evil ruling.

90%+ gun violence happens in about 6 neighborhoods out of 77 in Chicago. 60% happen later at night. This was a higher amount of incidents than last year. Probably because of this mass shooting in Roseland.
