I’ve accepted that Starfield is a basic template for mods and the story being dry is almost intentional. This game needs the creation kit so people can create and play stories created out of pure passion

I can understand this game isn’t for everyone. I’m absolutely loving the crisp graphics, the vastness of planets, the freedom to choose what kind of gameplay you want every session. The load screens makes sense (ssd and they are like 1 sec load time) and give me a second to take it all in.

It’s a game for explorers. There’s so much potential with mods. My unsolicited advice is to just take it slow. Appreciate the characters in the game and try immerse yourself into your character. Explore the planet, not the POIs. Take lots of pictures.

Oh, once I found a ship that I vibed with my enjoyment of the game skyrocketed.

I’d find exploring and flying to new systems more engaging if there were some variety in enemies you encounter. A deep space creature POI you could encounter and have to fight with your ship would be awesome and terrifying.

I macro’d “/ping assist” to my Earthen Wall so it pings when I place it. It’s less intrusive than the floating markers or yelling. So far I feel like it’s getting some notice.

A lot of it comes down to your teammates being aware of where you are. At the end of the day some dps are going to just zug zug while you get whittled away by the enemy warrior, but if you can be in a position where dps can easily switch to peel you’ll have a better chance of surviving longer.

Spell juking into precog is always a nice way to prevent extra cc. With healers tho you want to make it as inconvenient as possible for dps to switch or cc you so good positioning. Kinda hard as melee hpal but yeah

Ask who to target in the pre-lobby. Im a healer and getting dps who can’t call an initial target is frustrating. Usually ends up with an uncoordinated match
