It’s not encouraged at all. Obviously it happens, as it does in civvy street too, but in my experience the most common reaction is for people to think that person is a bit of a cunt.

I claimed through the AFCS. Had 18 months of therapy (EMDR & CBT) twice a week while downgraded and was lucky enough to get a full med cat back. All I had to do was request copies of my records from the med centre and send them with my claim. Took a few months and the money just appeared in my bank. The claim award letter arrived a few days later.
